Elizabeth Winter, Alliance News -and get this - senior markets reporter. How much is she on, and can I have her job for coasting through the day seemingly failing to grasp the basics of share price action. Quite astounding!
Deutsche Bank issues?
Makes no sense. As if its being manipulated down deliberately… not that I’m saying this factually in any way…
HANetf co-founder and co-CEO Hector McNeil visits Proactive's London studio to speak with Thomas Warner after a tumultuous start to the year for the world's markets.
McNeil reveals why he believes people need to start preparing for what he calls a potential "massive rally" that could take place virtually overnight.
Hi All,
I wonder if Wall St will recover now UK markets are closed…?
Silly question; could they go back in and buy again today?
The Swiss National Bank revealed on Wednesday that it would provide Credit Suisse Group AG with liquidity if needed.
In the same statement, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) noted that it "is in very close contact with the bank [Credit Suisse] and has access to all information relevant to supervisory law" and confirmed that "Credit Suisse meets the higher capital and liquidity requirements applicable to systemically important banks."
The SNB and FINMA further pointed out that banking sector issues in the United States "do not pose a direct risk of contagion for the Swiss
Yeh, AV’s recently been like a trophy girlfriend who won’t sleep with you!!!
Fairly sure they have daily limits to prevent market manipulation. Wondering how far this will go up before the 30th - AV took a beating very unnecessarily (IMO) so here’s to a quick and speedy recovery - and beyond!
There’s posters at each extreme on this forum. If taken too literally most would probably sell up and then go back balls in at least three times a day! That said there are plenty of people who find and post good info from many sources. I for one am happy to read (and filter) all contributions.
Mvest - Your hopefully accurate optimism is always welcome. If marooned in the Pacific on a small boat I think I’d rather have you as a companion than others (many who posted yesterday). That said I’m not sure if it would turn into a Father Ted Caravan Holiday scene with you as Father Noel Furlong!!! Best wishes to all and hang in there!
Good find! Where did you see this? Also I’m confused why all these new people are peeping over the wall shouting belated ‘advice’ and doom. A are they investors? B are they concerned about other investors? C if no, why are the ‘contributing’?
Sort of like ‘Share Stockholm Syndrome’
And a little bit on very clumsy CEO wording… right or wrong in his integrity, his investor duty of care was disregarded on this occasion.
Could just as easily be the opposite - who knows??
I’m sure he could have got the message over a little bit more delicately. Maybe Gerald wrote his speech? Hopefully this news is tomorrows chip paper wrapping.
He went on to say that this is the company's last chance and that he will be launching a "transformation program" with a focus on "efficiency and optimisation."
This is widely seen as a signal to staff to expect another round of job cuts, particularly among white-collar workers.
Can he though? Would it be seen as blatant manipulation?
I’ve mixed feelings too. To me the reassuring thing would be for him to put his money where his mouth is. That said his salary may be heavily share related so he may be there already.
Did - sorry typo
