‘Shares don’t know or care if you them or not…’ I’’ve found the best way to own this share is to go long on half and trade the other half - with fairly strict profit taking at relatively low margins.

Hi Drift K - I agree with many of your comments but respectfully would like your extended opinion on what LGen would do with the slashed divi surplus. They have no debt to pay down like VOD and there’s not much to chase down to buy out there (organic growth ops galore atm in pensions…). Unless a divi cut was partnered with a fantastic investor proposition I can only see this as a negative for holder sentiment and the SP - I mentioned preciously that the business model is one of the most complex of all companies so all opinions matter to me. Atb.

I almost added more this morning (already with a large percentage holding - fruitlessly waiting for 585) but it went back into to the 590s again. Either way its a great co to hold in such times.

I think the market will utilise Novembers run up to the budget to create volatility. I’m going to look at a 20% cash position. Problem is that much of my folio is at early cycle (eg not ready for selling yet - through my greed, bad planning and bad luck). Hopefully the next four weeks will allow me to top slice a few holdings. Not particularly worried, but fomo on any buying opportunities such budget hype will produce. May even force LGEN temporarily to the low 220s which I’d hate to miss! Keep the good chat and views coming gla.

I listened to ’playing ftse’ recently and the covered lgen (last weeks episode). Basically both of the hosts admitted they didn’t understand this complex business (and very few experts do) so it stopped them recommending/ investing in it - which is fair enough in my view. The take away wasn’t ‘don’t invest’, more of we don’t understand the business, it pays a cracking divi, it’s not going to go bust - but we cant work out how it functions or will function in then future. Worth a listen -

Depends on your entry point. I’ve been burned in the past and had to continuously lower my ave position to enable the option of selling on a rise which I did after a few divis. I’m back in now with a smaller holding - but still miscalled the ruddy bottom. I’m keeping a little cash to add more ONLY if/when this pulls back up to/after the Novembers budget. A no brainer if a disciplined long term approach is used. Yes I’m learning from passed mistakes.

Watching how the liquidity in this stock is being controlled is fascinating (and frustrating too). Once it gets even closer to the 18ths trading and confirmatory financial statements I’d hope and expect the mm’s to reintroduce more liquidity which should hopefully take us up to the 1.30s - all in my limited knowledge and opinion. Should be going up so close to update - looks like the price is being forced down for trading opportunities (and fruit shaking!) - hang in - or buy in the dips maybe?

After watching the Chinese parade I think its a good bet.

Casapinos - thanks, its angles an views like this which offset the idiots we endure with many of the other AIM stocks. Any thoughts on why J2 isn’t migrating to the main mkts? Could also do winders for its SP and financial ratings.

Been here for over a year as a hedge against the doom and gloom scenario. Whilst BEG is quite a stable hold, I don’t understand the SP action which seems (short term) unreadable. Hopefully a rise to the update later this month. Any thoughts out there? Gla

Surely not sp manipulation in such an honest game! Complete blks is the term I have in mind.

Late RNS yesterday too, which should contribute to the results. Hopefully oil prices and formal confirmation of the last trading update numbers should push us way past the £3.50 mark.

One of the few stocks I’ve ever held which have displayed a rise on exdivi day - in a a flat market too! Hopefully bodes well for future growth/ confidence. This is payback for the bumpy ride to get here care of the shorters. Gla!

Hi Bob - yes the main concerns come from supply issues. My take is that they have stated supply risks/challenges had/have been mitigated internally. Also the tariff issue didn't play through due to an early HMG agreement with Trump. We’ve had a few Director buys (wish there were more) and a global focus on defence spending so an already health order book should now be bulging. I’ve held but also bought (and traded on any weakness. I’m only going to find out if my thoughts are correct next week. GLA - all IMHO
