I just get a little frustrated that lam always seems to make it so difficult for itself in managing its news and plans etc. The sp hasn't been hit as hard as I envisaged. I hope the contracts now roll in for us as we need a slug of good news to underpin the direction the management have said we are heading in.

Dean owls, I stand corrected for the previous 12 months in re of Director dealing. But even so its showing through today's sp that it's not immediately good for the long suffering investors. Anyone could see what such an action as this would do to the share price, so to carry out such an financial manoeuvre at such a time is strange to me.

No Directors in the company have bought any shares for a while according to director dealings, we had the managers in previous times selling shares prior to results, a posting on this site states profitability or the return to profitability could be down to unsustainable cost cutting rather than new high margin work... And they want more of our cash? Rather than wait for the discount it may be better to wait for the SP to fall to even cheaper levels as the market won't like this offer!

well thought out Sense - therefore if an order confirmation comes, it stands to reason the buys will follow after and we could get a great sp boost.. Caveat as ever IMHO

Hardly tracing today's FTSE though ;-( hope all our finger crossing pays off, a Director share purchase and some more order confirmations should do the trick.

Can't believe lam would be stupid enough to roll out bad news which could be buried in other bad news the following day, my conclusion is that the results will be good, That said, our/ the market expectations in regards to the temp nature of this chap should have been addressed better because he was not a permanent fix by my understanding. In true lam poster caveat style IMHO!!!!!!!

Yep. A considered and logical answer. I have had these for a while and did quite a bit of research before buying so I did feel like there was slight of hand when the bad news came out in dribs and drabs. If the company has gone through such a culture change as you suggest this is good news but a buy would send great signals and be as good if not better than an apology for the shambles they made of information management last year. On a separate note does anyone know who gets the (our) money from the fine, if its like the uk it goes to running the authority imposing the fine - shame it wasn't a charity!

Hi all. Loads of talk re recovery and back into the £2s BUT WHY NO MANAGEMENT BUYS??? I'm not deramping in anyway as I hold shares but all this does not make sense. It is a shame the company management are not in a hurry to put their 'c@(k$ on the block' to be crude. After all a precedent was set in anticipating the company pending fortunes by last years management dealing so anticipating better times should initiate mgt buys by my logic?

Put very simply its selling shares over a short period of time which you don't yet own. The price SHOULD then fall and you then buy the shares at a lower price. It tends to interrupt the true journey of the shares which needs to be dictated by the business performance rather than individuals dumping cash into the market to move share prices for a quick buck. That's my understanding anyway.
