Striping away all the misconceptions about pushing revenue into the long grass. Why not realise that Scancell and Redmile must be super confident that value is coming from the Platforms already in Trial.

This is an announcement from a company that knows what and how their other trails are panning out. They are so assured that they are now adding to the pipeline.

We should not be so blinkered in our view, the data is coming from two trials within months and once those financial inflection points are passed we will not be having these 'woe is me' conversations.

I do remember a communication that the Recruitment process had to be temporarily suspended due to the fact that every person turning up at the clinic in Cape Town either had Covid or had previously had Covid. I think that was around Christmas time or very early January and that's where I'm getting the idea that the trial was suspended.

I have tried but cannot find the interview or document that is was part of but I'm sure my memory is correct.

Originally in one post I did say 'Stopped' and thought correcting to 'Halted' was the correct way of stating the temporary nature of the trial being 'Suspended'.

I'll get it right eventually. The most important thing is that the Trial continues but now testing as a Booster Vaccine, which is nice. (Fast Show reference).

I like quite a few others saw the 'Radio Silence' period from 26th April until last Monday as probably being due to the Covidity Trial. Now we have had two RNS news releases ( ModiFy FPD and SCIB1 Upgrade ) that quiet period could be explained by those updates.

Two things that may mean there is no Covidity news due,

A) Although 16 subjects had been dosed prior to the trial being halted in Early Dec 2021 the subsequent Covidty RNS 29th March does say that was a totalof 22 Covid Naive subjects dosed prior to the Protocol changes. That means the 6 month trial period to cover all 22 subjects may not be reached for two more months. We are not privy to the exact dates.

B) In all RNS communications about our Covidity Trial the anticipated Data Readout is always stated as H2 2022 and Later in 2022.

The reason for this post is to just ensure we understand that there may not be any Covidity news for quite a few months. Unless an early deal has been negotiated for the progress to Phase2.

You would expect the very first dose to be the minimum amount that is practical to administer and then observe for 7 / 10 days. No adverse effects and proceed to the next dose level. I'm presuming that these early doses will not produce any meaningful reduction of the targeted tumour.

The first couple of months will be solely concerned with safety and toxicology and once passed we will see all the other clinics opening up.

For me that is when I'll be anticipating the 'Melting Tumour' headlines, around late September / early August. Anything earlier would be a 'Brucey Bonus'.

I hope someone a little more knowledgeable will expand on this answer.

The BionTech / Scancell TCR quest can happen once ModiTope has passed the Safety & Toxicity stage of our current trial. When the dose escalation period starts to create the required T Cells they will be harvested from patients and then assessed and valued as TCR candidates.

As far as we know BionTech are waiting for Scancell to harvest those cells.

If someone can please expand on my junior high school level answer.

You could argue that all of us who have invested and followed Scancell for many years are extremely bias in our views of what could happen in the next 1 or 2 years and our expectation of the company becoming a global biotech.

I have tried to step back and asked myself if my judgement is being distorted by my need to believe that Scancell is the real deal and its not that I'm chasing rainbows.

What grounds me is the early results from the SCIB1 Trial, that trial was a successful test of the ImmunoBody concept. The science translated into real world outcomes and it continued to work when the trail ended after 5 years.

The ImmunoBody mechanism conceived by Scancell works, so that's the ground we stand on as investors.

The Covidity Trial has been hampered by both the virility of the Omicron strain and the successful roll out of Covid Vaccines. Now that we have seen the trial being moved up a gear to test Covidity's application as a Booster we can be very confident that the early study in those first 16 subjects was safe and it worked as far as inducing and targeting the Covid Virus. Just how good it is may be revealed in the coming weeks.

ModiTope, that serendipitous finding in the laboratory, is why I'm fully invested in Scancell. Over the past few years the work has had to be done to build that 'happens chance' discovery into a construct that can be safely administered to a human being. This is now underway and I am confident that the mechanism will work, what we await is to what level does ModiTope interact with the human immune system, is it 'modestly' and needs adjusting, is it 'greatly' and its a 'new in class cancer drug' or as we hope is it 'outstandingly', in which case it challenges the whole Checkpoint Inhibitor market which is predicted to be worth $55B by 2025.

In summary, I honestly believe that my investment in Scancell has been rationally thought through and I'm confident that RedMile, Vulpes & Calculus will all do extremely well for themselves.

LD always shows great excitement at the future prospects of combining MODI1 with MODI2 which makes me believe that they have seen difficult to treat solid tumours eradicated by that duel combination in laboratory mouse models.

It cannot have been a worked sell because its higher than the days close.
If it was a single purchase you would expect to pay a high premium to the market trading range and its not that much higher than the general buys of the day.
So, it has to be either a worked buy, possibly over that day or even from early on the 13th, or, its market makers tidying up the loose change so to speak, a clerical transaction.

My best guess would be the worked buy, but I'm bias towards the one I would like it to be, which doesn't help.

Trial was halted not stopped, due to an Omicron wave, meaning that every person applying to take part in the trial was either positive or already had Covid antibodies.

The Covidity trial in South Africa was stopped around the end November / early December. The total at that time of Covid Naïve subjects had just reached 16.

Those last subjects had 26 weeks ahead of them to complete their trial period and that brings us to approximately, now. The data for that Cohort will have to be brought together, verified, discussed and finally written up to bring that cohort to a close.

Most of the data will be sat waiting but it does need finalising, which means that I'm in agreement with C7 when he says end H1 / end of this month.

I wouldn't expect news on that trial until the end of next week earliest, so patience may be required for another 10 working days.

SCIB1 Ph2 expansion with needle free delivery, that is what I call moving a trial forward.
There was a feeling that SCIB was going to get left behind especially still using the Ichor TriGrid delivery method. The original trial using Keytruda ( pembrolizumab which is a Merck product ) has just been deemed good enough not only for a delivery system upgrade but also with the agreement that its now going forward with Yervoy + Opdivo ( iplimumba + nivolumab , both products from Bristol-Myers Squibb ).

Lets just say that SCIB1 does increase the population pool of these three colossal drugs by 15 or 20 %, what is that worth ? Current 'CI' values for 2022 are estimated at just shy of $24B, 20% increase in that treatable density is close to an extra $5B plus the CI market is already growing by 20% per annum as approvals arrive in additional cancers and diseases.

Scancell has said that if Covidity is a success the whole Immunobody Platform could be put up for sale.

How much is that worth it these very cash rich Pharma Companies.

ModiTope will work but in what percentage of patients, obviously it will not work as well on some patients due to the genetic make up of their tumour and the strength / make up of their immune system.

The ModiFY trial has been designed to answer a myriad of related questions.
The trials range and scope will be down to the quality of those medical / trial experts on our Clinical Advisory Board ( CAB ).

It's not the markets response that's important, it's the patients.

In all the pre-trial lab tests the results have been first rate. We now need to see that pan out in the clinic and the rest as they say will take care of itself. Scancell has had to wait a long time to get this trial over the line and todays announcement is totally due the work of many dedicated people at the company.

The exciting thing for anyone who is invested ( not just trading ) is that ModiFY is actually in the clinic and underway.

Just adding to that, we would normally expect a Proactive Investors type interview off the back of such an important announcement. If there isn't one that will reinforce the idea that bigger news is on the horizon.

Saying that, there is still plenty of time for an interview to be recorded and announced later today but if not !!
