All of our discussions are based on assumptions to some degree. The point of debating a topic is to challenge all our perceptions. I do not mind being corrected because I'm not an expert on all things financial so I ask questions.

The problem is you don't challenge, you snipe. Just post your answers without personalising the discussion. We are investors in an amazing cancer vaccine company we are not on mastermind.

Between now and 2025 when the outstanding CLN's can be converted into shares we may have the opportunity to divest the Immunobody platform.

In that 'alternate universe' Scancell may have huge cash reserves but still have the possibility that a Redmile's conversion of the outstanding CLN's means they will have well over 30% of the stock.

So how do we navigate that issue if we cannot regain control by paying off the loans ?

Convertible Loan Notes....

The question of paying off a CLN will be set out in the legal documents. Scancell are paying 3% interest on the monies paid by RedMile so if we did end up with a commercial deal and had enough cash we could ( if the terms signed allowed ) pay back a Loan.

IS IT DEBT OR EQUITY?
Investment into a company via a convertible loan note (CLN) is not for equity initially. However, it is essentially a loan to the business that has the option or requirement to convert to equity shares at a price that is yet to be determined. The valuation is not usually defined when the investment is made. It is usually also possible for the loan to be repaid in certain circumstances including any coupons.

IS THE CLN SECURED?
In some cases, the CLN is secured, however, most likely it will not be as it is usually thought of not as a debt instrument but rather as prepayment for shares.

My proposition that we could pay back Redmile for the unissued CLN's could happen but only if the terms set out by RedMile allowed and Redmile agreed.

So on reflection its a definite maybe.....!!

That fully diluted figure you mention includes the RedMile CLN's ( Credit Loan Notes ) which can be paid off before 2025.
I'm only mentioning this because, if say, we sold off the Immunobody Platform those CLN's could be settled just leaving the current 815M shares but are right to mention them.

The first 16 subjects were all enrolled prior it Christmas and we were informed that in total only 22 subjects were in fact Covid Naïve. We do not know for sure what date that 22nd person was dosed but I'm presuming it was by the end of January 2022. It states in the trial protocol that the period of time for those subjects was, minimum 6 weeks maximum 26 weeks. Therefore IF the enrolment and dosing of that part of the trial ( Covid Naïve ) was concluded by the end of January the 26 weeks will have past by the end of July.

There is a possibility that the 22 were dosed by the middle of March we do not know for sure that's why I said probably in my post.

Its also a fact that when the trial started in October ( 1st patient dosed 5th Oct ) that RNS said that there could be early data published in Feb 2022, only 4 months later.

The first part of the Covidity trial ( 22 subjects ) will most probably be fully concluded by now ( 6 months from the last of those 22 to be dosed ).

That data can now be rolled up, evaluated and released at any time. Lets just say in the next few weeks.

Also, on the 28th July, Prof Durrant has been the CEO of Scancell for 12 months. Maybe the update announcement we await will coincide with that important milestone for our leader.

Hi Ivyspivey, good response.

I feel that until Scancell has the fully validated trial data which leads to a significant commercial outcome they will not spell out how they see their future prospects. You are quite correct when you say that we are an R&D science company even with the earlier SCIB1 trial giving strength to the argument that our products will be commercialised.

I differ in my conclusion that the Trial Protocol changes mean that positive evidence must have been witnessed or the trial regulators would not have granted the amendments.

With Covidity there is little chance that a modest result in 16 subjects would have been of sufficient strength to argue changing the trail to what would have been the UK Booster trial. Covidity must have evidenced a high probability it was better than OK.

Same for SCIB1 = Ci. The regulators would not sanction the change of the delivery system without compelling evidence that the drug was working and could be improved.

I see these changes by the regulators as very positive.

I have done my research, I understand what Scancells platforms are about and I'm aware of what could go wrong but when weighed I'm 100% convinced that Immunobody, ModiTope and AvidiMab will all prove to be valuable platforms, given time.

When Scancell release the first of many RNS's announcing positive trail data they will be in much better position to speak more openly about future prospects. At the moment any future comments would be based on maybe's and what if's.

I'm quite content to wait, no matter how long it takes, to read that positive RNS.
The current mix of market jitters, the fact that Covid had gone away and the lack of patience with Scancell has given me the opportunity to accumulate more shares , mainly because I'm so positive about Scancells future prospects.
Put it this way, if you follow the bread crumb trail you can decide for yourself why we have been given approvals expand both the Covidity ( Progression to Booster ) and the SCIB1 plus Ci ( Change to Needle Free Delivery ) and isn't because they are not working.

These advances in the trial make up are only happening because the trials are producing early positive data. Not the conclusive data that we need but the sort that's allowing the regulators to grant those changes.

In the ModiFY trial it has now been 1 month since FPD and we know that ModiTope in mice models did show results in the Lab after 14 days, that was using a full dose, so even with our initial low dose any adverse reaction to it would have been seen by now.

Last thing to say is that we have 3 trials in motion plus several collaborations and they are all getting very close to being the subject of an RNS update or major announcement. The next 5 months will see many questions answered to some degree, we are as they say 'on the cusp' of revelation.

Suggests that the CD4 T-Cells are of great importance in the immune systems fight against Covid or any virus. The fact that Immunobody evokes Killer CD4 T-Cells could be the major difference in how Covidity elicits clearance of infected cells.

Yes, when the first patient had been dosed that RNS said early data would be available in February 2022. Which meant that they expected to be able to say if it was safe and well tolerated with perhaps some information about Covidity's ability to work with both S and N proteins.

Therefore I would hope that some half way trial data would still be revealed.

Nice one Ray, one of the early GlyMabs or AvidiMab collaborations must be close.

I still think we will hear about Covidity first. The data must be building to the point where either a deal is being prepared or it is becoming materially important to us investors. In that case the company has to RNS the data.

We can be certain that Covidity is Safe and the data will now say if both Spike and Nucleocapsid proteins are being engaged. The initial 22 Covid naïve subjects should now be proving if protection is being conferred.

So its a Covidity update first for me.

Thanks Wildforce your input is helping me to understand what they have.

5T4 has been tried before and failed to deliver but bio-technology has advanced over the last 5 / 10 years so they may have improved how to use 5T4 as a target.

As I don't know I will ask what I do hope is not a grade one stupid question :

What about off target toxicity, or is the 5T4 antigen expressed solely by Cancer tumours ?

I would really appreciate a view on that.

NeoTX lead molecule in their Tumour Targeted Superantigen ( TTS ) is Naptumomab estafenatox (NAP ).

NAP is directed against tumours expressing 5T4 antigen, which is present on many types of cancers, including the most frequent solid tumours.

So it is a highly targeted towards only cancers expressing 5T4 antigens.

May I ask if it is common in many tumours or is that target only expressed in a sub-set of tumours.
