That is a very important point when considering the outcome of the soon to be ModiFY Trial. What we all desire is that our faith in Scancell and Scancell's science is rewarded and the results are incredibly positive. What is of paramount importance is the journey of those people who have signed up to be our test subjects.
After all this time waiting for 'ModiTope' to be tested we should remember that someone who is very poorly may have this trial, as C7 says, as their last chance to be given a new lease of life.

It will be an incredible platform to fight some awful cancers when its proven to work.

Those of us that have understood the progression from the relative success of the SCIB1 Ph1 / Ph2 Trial through to ModiTope, AvidiMab and GlycanMabs have had to endure some ups and downs along the way. It's a sure bet that on delivery of positive data we will be swamped by the newly enlightened, in a strange way I'm looking forward to the arrival of the herd, and so is my pension.

In the coming weeks we have both Covidity and ModiFY RNS's to spark up some interest in Scancells vast potential.

Could it be that this position is as a result of a successful the first dosing being safely administered. Why employ a scientist with such a high skill set and the pay grade to match, until you are absolutely sure that the very first step has been negotiated.....

Question that arises is, which trial ?

Bit late for the current ModiFY trial so, What's Next on the list ?

Referring back to the post by Bermudashorts on 15th April. Details from the clinical trials.gov website.

First Enrolment 7th April, the two clinical centres open at that time were Nottingham and Edinburgh. My assumption is that at least one patient was enrolled at one of the above centres on the 7th and as long as that particular person met all the necessary health checks and critical bloodwork's they will, in all probabilities, be the FPD.

The initial stage of the trial will be to ensure safety therefore it follows that in the early stages only one or two suitable patients will be put through the full selection criteria and relevant testing, all other trial centres will most likely be on standby awaiting news that the initial patient or patients are ok with no adverse affects seen.

Once passed this hugely critical stage the larger study will be rolled out as quickly as possible.

Just my opinion based on how other trials have proceeded at the very early safety stage.

When we discussed the 'FPD' last week I concluded that :

The 'first patient dosed' RNS will be after the selection screening and then some days after the actual injection to give time for observations. So from the 7th April first enrolment add 3 weeks for screening and say 2 weeks for observations gives a rough earliest date of the 12th May.

It's Good practice to also check the daily trades on SCLP.GB.PLC.

I did a Bed & ISA yesterday for 73,983 shares and I checked the above when I didn't see it recorded on LSE.

There were also 3 buys
8,963 @ 14.505p
266,286 @ 14.60p
12,249 @ 14.30p

and one sell of 378 @ 14.05p

If those early buys had been processed through LSE we would have been Blue from the off. Also, that volume of buys allows for the large sell at the end of play.

Hi Burble, in answer to your FPD sweepstake on the 13th April, I originally answered as follows :

3 weeks from Trial announcement to Enrol, take all necessary history, take all blood works, categorise and finally agree a date to administer the initial dose.

My earliest date would be W/C 9th May latest W/C 16th May, so I will say 10th May.......

My opinion only but I cannot see how it could be much sooner unless these protocols have already been started knowing the MHRA approval was close."

I am looking for positive progress on the Decline status, excellent news would be that they have moved into solid ground and no longer hampered with water ingress in every metre they dig out. That will allow Newcrest to tempt the excavators with a bonus to try and beat their own record mtrs per month.

I ask because I feel that the FPD RNS will be received with a shareholder combined sigh of relief. We were in this exact position prior to Christmas and then waited for 3 months without an explanation. obviously we knew it was mainly down to the pandemic.

This time is different because we were told that a patient was enrolled on the 7th April. I would expect that we have enrolled several since then.

The confirmation that the drug is finally at work and no immediate negative effects have been recorded is a massive step forward in Moditope becoming the Cancer Vaccine we have all invested in.

When our first patient is actually dosed I don't expect an RNS 10 minutes later, what I would ask if anyone can answer is :

Roughly how many days would there be observations before any announcement is made ?
Are we talking around 2 or 10 days?

Considering what C7 mentioned yesterday, that the Covidity trial has now been running a minimum of 5 months.
A full data readout from the very 'First Patient Dosed' must be on our CEO's desk.
Also, as the next few weeks pass Scancell will begin to see the benefits acquired from the dose escalation phase.
Enough time has passed since the second dosing took place and that must also be close to yielding further data from the FPD.

News from the Covidity Trial could land at anytime, ModiFY 'FPD' any day and add to this the SCIB1 / Checkpoint Inhibitor trial should be approaching news worthiness.

I still think it will be approx 3 weeks from the announced enrolment date of the 7th,
27th / 28th, so if I'm somewhere close we just have to wait a week.

I also think most of us expect the 'FPD' to be accompanied by a solid company presentation.

The very first injection will be at the lowest possible functioning dose because of any possible toxicity levels and the patients safety is paramount at this stage. There will be a period of observation before escalating the dose. This is the normal protocol which means the full tumour melting dose would not happen for several months.

The potency of 'ModiFy' may produce results in the shrinkage of the tumour from day one, that's the exciting thing, we just don't know how powerful 'ModiFy' will be in a human being.

From the number of interested Clinical Centres we can expect a rapid ramping up once the Toxicity and Safety phase has been passed.
