There is also the possibility that due to the delay caused by Omicron, Scancell may have enough real data to persuade SHAPRA to allow in South Africa what was going to have to wait until later in the UK Trial Study. When all the SA data is in the MHRA will be presented with a DATA Set that should allow a straight forward Application and Trial Approval for our very own Universal Needleless Booster.

That would be a 'Brucie Bonus' .........

From what has been said on this board Scancell will not have any governance over the trial procedures in South Africa. The trial is being run by the protocals agreed with the Lung Institute.

My take is that the data from the original 16 subjects has allowed for these trial changes. In other words it is looking positive enough to make these changes worthwhile.

The delay has been frustrating but we now we are back up and running.

So not 16 but 22 subjects enrolled and everything so far 'Well Tolerated' which tells us that the first hurdle 'Safety' has been negotiated without anything to report.
Our Phase 1 Covidity Data Read-Out will now happen very close to when the Winter conditions will have Covid back on the front pages.

Good to hear that things are moving on in South Africa, can we now have some news on our cancer trials please....

Just to say that I hope you recover quickly. I also caught covid for the first time about 4-5 weeks ago. Full 10 days until I was finally negative on the flow tests. You have always been a valued contributor on our Scancell adventure and I hope you are fully covid free as soon as possible.

We can reasonably expect that it is the capacity in the NHS Trial Centres that is holding up the MODI1 Trial.
Under normal circumstances we would already be expecting data in the first half of 2022. Cancer trials have to be run with the patients welfare being the top priority. The Omicron variant is still a big problem for the NHS and according to various news outlets the number of confirmed cases is on the rise.

I would imagine that the Covidity Trial is also still held up due to Omicron in South Africa.

These are not issues that Scancell have any control over, as investors that is understandably very frustrating but there is nothing to be done other than staying patient.

Considering the tough market conditions over the last two years due to covid and the resulting massive reduction in elective surgery TRX have progressed by 20% in 2021.

As the requirement for tissue reconstruction gathers pace in 2022 there is only one conclusion to arrive at, TRX will pass breakeven and begin to generate positive revenues by the end of this financial year.

Having listened to the presentation I come away with the belief that our investment is now in good hands. If we do get back to normal hospital conditions it would not surprise me if 2022 full turnover is £25M or 30% growth on 2021.

As we approach 'Mid March' I am honestly surprised that we still have not heard further news from any of our 3 Trials or even how the potential developments are moving forward on AvidiMab.

Both the SCIB1 / Keytruda Trial and the start of the MODI1 Trial were held due to the NHS commitments to the Omicron wave, so these trial centres must be close to opening up. Plus, as and when Scancell do receive a green light for the 'enrolment process' to start the process will have to be re-set to the beginning.
I feel really sorry for the person who had been selected onto the MODI1 Trial prior to the delay.

What is happening in South Africa with Covidity is a total mystery !

As an investor of 8 years +, I am acutely aware of the many false dawns we have endured but this does feel very different to any prior delays and I truly believe that the wheels and cogs are turning at Scancell with news on progress being very close. I would be extremely surprised if March passes without a company progress report at the very least.

Patience is requirement to be a true SCLPer but I am still convinced that when the data from our trials finally arrives all that stoicism will be rewarded.

This gives reassurance that those that know a lot more than me find 12p irresistible.

We know that news on three fronts is now well overdue and my best interpretation of todays buying is that we now will hear news on at least two of our platforms in the next 2 / 3 weeks.

Agree that we should definitely see Scancell issue news on one of the UK Cancer Trials this month. I would expect that the MODI1 trial centre will already be being prepared to receive our first patient. My reasoning being based on the fact that the NHS must now have increased capacity to host clinical trials. Scancell's trial was on the books, up and running, prior to Christmas and the Omicron wave, so should be a priority.

Where are we on the Covidity SA Trial ?

We need an update from the company ASAP on whether we will have enough trial data from the 16 enrolled subjects to satisfy UK regulators to enable the start the UK arm.

I'm still lurking....lol

I feel TRX will turn the 'breakeven' corner once elective surgery has a full 12 months of consistent service. The products produced by TRX do not lend themselves to this stop / start pandemic. If we can now move forward the market for Tissue Replacement products will grow rapidly and the extra capacity in San Antonio will start to fill up. When they start to implement the phase2 development, that's when the company will be making a profit.

Its really tough at the moment because companies not yet making money are being dumped. I'm still holding 4.5M and will look to add more when my other shares also rebound.

For TRX breakeven is the Holy Grail because from there on its all about the speed of growth.

For me Shaun Day is our man and not a Newcrest puppet, as has been suggested in the past. The recent fund raise was very smart and the purchase of the rites to the tenement between Scallywag and Telfer was another well though out and strategic play.

My impression is that if Newcrest ( SB ) does want to play hardball Shaun has built a team around him with enough strength of experience to ensure we are treated fairly. Also, if Newcrest are overly aggressive it could backfire on SB because they are pumping huge amounts of cash into both Havieron to create a mine ASAP and Telfer to keep it open until the ore from Havieron is flowing.

I think Shaun has enough experience through his years as the CFO at Northstar to either make Newcrest dig deep to pay for Havieron or get us our 25% of all future production.

I remember that posts by Burble and do accept that money talks, but, we had a clinical trial centre up and running with a potential first patient ready to begin treatment, all just before Christmas and stopped in its tracks by Omicron.

The MODI1 Trial is Scancells most important trial by far and the platform is why I'm invested and why I will stay invested in the company.

My voice of concern is solely due to the fact that enough time has now elapsed to have that Trial Clinic ready to dose that fully vetted first patient. I just hope and pray that the person who was about to start our trial is still fit and well enough to go ahead.

Given that we are fast approaching the end of February I am very surprised that we have not been able to start our MODI1 Trial. The announcements made by other companies that their trials have started shows that the NHS is now capable of opening clinical trials.

KonarA your question does need an explanation because Immunobody is probably the ideal candidate to be used by Nottingham Uni. They do after all have a stake in the platforms success.

If you consider Prof. Durrant's comment regarding the sale of the whole Immunobody platform if Covidity proves as successful as we all hope, you can therefore understand why Scancell would not want to add another partial loose end.

There is enough understanding of our DNA platform with-in Nottingham Uni for them to develop a new platform of their own to progress the Zika Vaccine research project.

We do not know the truth of it but to me that is a reasonable explanation as it fits all the facts as we see them.

Newcrest may even be plotting to make a bid for all of Havieron before any MRE2 or FS because they know the price will go up way to High.
