It seems to me that most people have invested waaay too much in SXX.... For me, I don't get scared when prices fall. I assess: 1. BoD: they have raised capital. Markets are there for companies to raise capital. Hence, capital markets 2. Long term prospects in tact. Keep in mind construction risks. But HOLD for 10 years. If you don't have 10 years left on Earth like Rooster, then maybe sell up and go to Tahiti. Finally, stop checking share prices... do you check your house price every minute? It is meaningless noise!!
So in my mind, considerable value will be created through construction now. If we can get Poly4 6 months earlier than expected, that would have profound implications for cash flow!
As an aside, isn't it odd that we have reached March lows... capital group knew all about this...
Lol a quick buck... so many traders telling others how to play the game. Don't you millionaires have anything better to do?
Rooster, putting "told" in caps gets people's backs up.
I knew dilution would come, but due to not putting all eggs in one basket, i will just hold for long term.
Judging on your language and your "I know more because I'm" old rhetoric. You will probably be gone long before Sirius matures, so I get why you aren't invested.
Good luck.
Why are people saying no more uncertainty?
Am I being thick as pig muck, but the RNS suggests stage 2 finance is not yet complete but contingent on a number of conditional thresholds (convertible switch, placement and "other").
What do poeple think of the lack of participation by strat partners? ADM, Baywa, Gina... I am a bit miffed that we didn't get at least an explanation of why a few of those initial financing options didn't work...
Will the share price be significantly higher in 10 years?
I think yes.
Better than gilts, Isa, Unilever or small cap mutual fund returns?
Probably.
It's bottom drawer time.
When someone reads the annual report let me know!
With half of you expecting blast off and half expecting doom, I expect somewhere in the middle
Because they would be loaning us the money and getting a ridiculous interest rate in return, plus their capital back. That's how bonds work. And if we go under they would have first dibs on the assets. Again that's the benefit of bonds. If JPM wantee ownership of the business they would just buy enough shares to become majority owners and get onto the board... none of this back door nonsense.
Didnt CF say he would update the markets by end of April, not that kt would be signed by April end.
Why is evetyone knicker twisting.
Brad, As Vinn noted, being invested in a share doesn't support the company one jot... unless you have participated in a capital raise. 90% of shareholders are in it for profit. I love Sirius and the story, been in for 3 years, not sold a single share... but I am doing it for capital growth, and will be out in say, 5 or 6 years from now of things go well.
How many of you think the £3bn will be senior debt as intended? Why or why not? I just can't shake this feeling that something is lurking around the corner. I can take dilution for the 400 to 600 that is priced in... but... more to come? Myo PAAA GK What do the 3 sages say? And what does everyone else think? And finally, Alan G... ?
Thanks, quick work Foster!
Doesn't say when it was published.
Either way, the manager portrays the stock in such a way that the poor performance during the period to June 2018, was partly to do with the financing close date. Which wouldn't really have impacted the shares then.
I was just reading Jupiter's UK Growth annual report for June 2018. And the manager noted then that the financing close will be early 2019. But I don't remember Sirius telling us that until much later? Am I just making this up? Jupiter UK Growth is the one that holds 220m shares currently, and has apparently been selling down recently alongside capital group... this makes me a bit nervous. I think they know something we don't.
When did the company first announce that stage 2 close would be pushed into 2019?
Some big entity keeps smasing the rise with huge sells. Someone know something? Risk reduction? Short sellers? Answers on a post card.
More than a few people probably had wind of it! Explains a lot of the SP recently. Still, better late than never. Now, after hours RNS to finalise stage 2.
When you say government backing, I hate to presume, but you realise the government wasn't going to give SXX a penny right?
