Anecdotal evidence on here seems to be RMG is in good shape. I'm not so sure, their last trading statement said letters were down 4%, which if it wasn't for the General Election would have been worse. Parcels continued to limp along, if there has been high single digit growth the shares will rocket, but I remain skeptical.

Regarding the 'very good alternative which is being ignored'. From what I can make out the CWU want to adopt a riskier investment strategy on pensions to make up for an acknowledged lower future return, which is great if it works. If it doesn't, they want RMG to cover any shortfall. No company can agree to such open ended future liabilities. I cannot see any near term resolution and expect the shares to meander downwards.
