Coming up to 6 years as a PLC, RMG has been a serial underachiever. Now with Dodgy Rico on board, issuing a joke trading statement, it adds fuel to all the investors who sense ongoing productivity issues allied to CWU disharmony to present opportunities in the near future.

Not much going to happen until next trading update in October, unless it's another one of those pointless 'Overall' jobs.
Rico has had a clear out of the RMG directors who negotiated the last deal with the CWU. Clearly thought RMG gave too much away. His non-unionised GLS background points to an upcoming autumnal rupture with the CWU.

Still expecting SS to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. Minimal reaction to another, on the face of it, superlative RNS. SS has previous, people are wise to be wary.

Had a quick look at the conference call. Divestments of $8/9 billion in the second half to get gearing down to the mid 20's, and a very strong indication they'll raise the dividend, probably in Q4.

Take a look at a graph of the share price since the IPO. Then look for the dates when interims, finals and trading updates are released, and the share price reaction.

Redceo, wouldn't it be easier and shorter to publish a list of posters, who don't think ur a clueless ramping buffoon.

I've read every financial statement since the IPO, which is why the last RNS set off alarm bells. Not only that I regularly talk to posties, managers and on my last visit to the sorting office, the cleaner. Why is it, the further up the ladder you go, the less information you get?

Indeed Falkland, a prescient post. 'Overall, trading in line with expectations'. The ambiguity in that statement is being deliberately disingenuous. Scenario A- letters up, parcels down. Scenario B- letters down, parcels up. The market would react completely different to an RNS presenting scenario A, than scenario B. Why has a detailed breakdown not been given, as in every other comparative trading update RNS since the IPO. You can only infer, Rico needs another 4 months to present evidence of a turnaround. Dodgy!

People following u over the last year would have experienced a slow motion car crash. Falkland provides a balanced forum which is far healthier than ur fantasy laden drivel.

I expect these to do what they always do, meander along on no news, then dive on results. Rico's got his hands full with the CWU, we'll see if his fan club is still on board in November. Redceo, hope ur Babushka enjoys her car.

Thursday's RNS has been nagging away at me. I've just had a look at last years in comparison. Last year was detailed with current trading in UKPIL and GLS, and remarking on the trading working capital outflow. This year it is concerning with just a vague 'Overall, trading in line with expectations'. RMG with its troubled recent history has not earned the right to investor trust and loyalty and should have published a similar in depth RNS.

I cannot remember a trading statement from RMG carrying less information. My instinct says Rico is winging it until November, hoping/praying for an improvement. The 2% April pay rise has sullied the productivity numbers, I'm not putting my hard earned with this lot.

Falkland, thanks for representing all the shareholders here. I think they give a book of first class stamps to everyone attending.

Royalmail, I can find no mention today of productivity gains of over 2% in the first quarter this year in their trading update. Overall, is the key word, which could cover a multitude of sins. Hopefully the AGM will put some flesh on the bones

Bringing up 6 year old articles is a bit desperate. More pertinent is the continual stream of disappointing RNS's since the IPO, and the flatlining of the UK business.
