Aesty, exactly. GE and CMEC have wanted in from way back and have wasted no time since.
I've done shed loads of background reading in GE & CMEC, but especially GE. While they're as big as they come, they've struggled the last few years. Their foray into emerging markets is a massive move. As Laxey and others point out, they are brimming with power tech and infrastructure, particularly after their Alstom acquisition. But their power division has struggled, faring worse than their healthcare and aviation divisions.
They're not working on these projects for no good reason. They need projects like Ncondezi just as NCCL need juggernauts like GE. We only need look at how smooth the rum has been since they came on board.
And then you see how GE are really working this, linking the new KIBO Mozambican power proposal to NCCL's Tete coal.
There should be no doubt.
