This is the key bit folks and is why there was initially worry, including all that recent news not having an effect on the SP. Unless the tech works, none of those deals mattered. We now have confirmation that the tech does work, is sound and was not the root cause of the problem.

Crucially, it was important to do this and can see why it took so long. A lot of wor has been undertaken in the background to identify and isolate the problem and confirm it.

Those numbers make sense to me. Projected annual revenue is immense (upwards of $300million) and the royalties and taxes ($1.1billion to $1.4billion) give an indication of a monster NPV in my book. Taking that 20% (above 60%) off our hands would require a significant pay out ($150million, as you state, is perfectly reasonable) and yet still leave us with our remaining 20%. The totality of all of this is that it points to an considerably greater market cap and SP.

I'd expect to hear about at JDA announcement end of the month. I could be wrong but it don't think GE and CMEC, but especially GE, are here to mess about it. They just want to get on with it (which makes me wonder they would still want to keep us involved - but that's for another day).

In the meantime, Tariff news incoming, too...

If there is potential arbitration hanging over us, as others have said, then letting out how good it is, is not a good idea. If it were bad news, Zaza would have had to have notified the market already. Not great having to wait it out while the SP has sunk but actually, especially after all the recent good news (YA sorted, debt eliminated, $3million for Niko drill), it's clear something big is going on

Lurker, you put words in my mouth. Where have I said anything about money going somewhere else other than the project? From the beginning, you've twisted folks' words so you can support your own argument. The SP will reflect the value of the combined elements I've previously pointed to, which include drawdowns, what we get for the percentage we give up, indicating in turn the value of the stake we hold. And being a minority partner is not an issue. Whether 10%, 15% or 20%, we'll be adequately compensated for it, while simultaneously retaining involvement in a huge project. We will be in a materially better place than now and the SP will reflect this

Appreciate your post again gods. Agree that an important ingredient of the JDA is what we get back for that additional percentage above 60%. That will be set out in the JDA agreement end of July. As you say, it has the potential to provide a significant uplift and I believe it will. Whatever figure it turns out to be, it will be reflected in the SP, including by intimating strongly the value of the stake we also retain. Not to forget the point, and apologies for sounding like a broken record, that we are talking about an integrated coal mine and power project. Not to forget that we projecting annual revenues of between $250million and $300million and royalties and taxes over the lifetime of the project of between $1.1billion and $1.4billion. These are numbers provided by the company, pointing to an extraordinary NPV and project economics. You mention as an example $100 million for the additional percentage of the project that take over 60% - perhaps another 20% combined - now wouldn't that be nice :-))

Gods, thanks for getting back. Some valid points. Two things come to mind. Firstly, we're comparing to SEP where the SEP partnership and numbers were only for the power project. Can't imagine what the coal side of things will do but it's been neglected in most of our discussions (it has significant value in our integrated context as well as supply opportunities elsewhere). Secondly, the overall package will shift our SP, from whatever that's drawdown initially to what we give up and for how much and what we keep. The combination of everything - remembering we're talking about not just a power project but a massive dedicated coal supply (for us and others) - points to a value greater than 20p on JDA for me. I could be wrong. Happy to hold hands up if I am. Have been wrong plenty in the past. However, that's how I see it for now. Thanks again for your considered post fella

On possible SP on news, can say the following; 10p = £28million market cap 20p = £56million market cap 30p = £84million market cap 40p = £112million market cap 50p = £140million market cap If historic costs are to be $20million - $25million (and then $35million on FC), and then x amount for x percentage above 60%, and then the intimated value of what we retain??? Also, the SEP partnership was only for the power plant project. Not the coal mine. So does not include the billions of tonnes of coal and the value of having it integrated into the power project and that of others like KIBO buying it from us. So back to SP and market cap... ...seriously exciting few weeks ahead...

Just a matter of waiting --- tariff approval could come any time and when it lands, going to go mental arithmetic here :D )

The most important bit is the reiteration of the end of July time line for JDA, with tariff approval to happen before then.

Clearly they have held back submission of tariff until the last minute, where they will have one of those very important meetings and presentations.

Again, if tariff approval was in any major doubt, they wouldn't be working towards such an openly tight time line, one previously stated and then reiterated in the Financial Results and then in the interview, twice.
