Some big big buys going through in the last hour on SETS - I think something maybe brewing here - lets see how it plays out into the close - gla dyor etc.

Just added a few more at 294p - agm at the end of the month and I am expecting a trading update with it - my view is this will be good - maybe even some news on the MKS settlement who knows - UK interest rates almost certainly coming down the pipe - all in all a pretty good macro economic scenario - the spread on my purchase was 0.01pct so plenty of activity around this price - gla dyor etc.

Looks like a big sell order may have gone through around 1340 ish - dropped 12p to 300p - maybe another short opening up? - coming back now though - at 310p to buyt as I am typing - gla dyor etc

Have to say I am rather pleased with my recent purchases at 63p 64p and 67p - nice 12pct profit so and the divi to come, not too shabby - will be looking to sell on or around 80p on the retrace - gla dyor etc.

Nice uptick for MKS this morning on the back of higher than forecast BRC UK retail sales - MKS now looks a bit toppy on the range trade over 6 months - now at the top of the range so dependent on further good macro/micro economic news which atm is uncertain - re trading - agree with Chilting here, nothing wrong with trading to realise quick gains - I have done so myself in the past with MKS and other shares whilst retaining a core holding - having said that I generally hold long term and add on weakness - time in the market not timing the market key imo when investing - gla dyor etc.

Offer is non binding which leaves the door open for a stalking horse - offer is derisory imo even in a volatile market - for me Wood have accepted to encourage a new bidder - personally I am selling nothing - lets see what plays out here - gla dyor etc

Sold the ones I bought for 355p a week ago at 381p so around a 7pct profit which in this market right now is not too shabby - will buy back on weakness below 360p should it get there - gla dyor

"Acute belt tightening by consumers on the way." - Completely disagree with what you are saying here Sav - belt tightening will give JDW more business as punters prefer to pay 5 quid a pint where I live rather than £7.50 a pint for the same beer - same goes for the food - why pay 15 quid for a breakfast when spoons will give you one for less than a fiver including unlimitted coffee- JDW now trading at 585p as I am typing so around 7pct up on your strong sell recommendation at 548p - gl dyor etc

You are missing nothing Sparky - this share should be rebounding hard now but keeps getting taken back down - that is why I rarely invest in AIM stocks, too easily minipulated on small volume - having said that I will continue to hold and will add on further weakness - gl dyor etc

Decided to hold off adding here until 1330 when the US Inflation figures drop - a good read through should push shares higher over there and here but a negative read could put some downward pressure on - either way I will look to add post these results - lets see - gla dyor etc

Forest - the read through has been negative for MKS as Tesco warned on lower profits going forward - doesnt affect MKS as far as I am concerned as completely different demographic, but I am not the market - I will be adding if it falls much further - gl dyor etc

I am regretting not selling at 173p now! - 3/10 for that decision - VOD now trading below Covid lows - no option but to hold now and add on weakness - as a defensive stock losses should hopefully be limited going forward - lets see - gla dyor etc.

About a "flight to risk", - Yeah I would agree with that, though one would have to remember that BT was trading at 173p only a week ago, thats around a 12pct drop which for a defensive stock in this market right now is substantial imo - happy to keep adding here on further weakness and banking the divi which is now yielding over 5pct - not too shabby tax free into the ISA - gla dyor etc
