I think the market is slowing waking up to the idea that this deal is going to be good for BOTH companies - when the initial rumour was floated Shell barely went down at all - makes complete sense for Shell - why bother spending time and money on oil/gas exploration when it is there for the taking - guaranteed - gla dyor etc.

Decided to buy back into IAG this morning on the back of those results - initial buy at 293p - will add more on any weakness going forward - gla dyor etc.

I decided to sell my entire holding today at 31.5p - so around a 1pct loss - taking a look at the accounts I asked myself the question - would I bid for this company? - and the answer I came up with was no - basically the company is ALSA and the turnaround with the rest of it is going to take time, plenty of time imho, time they dont have with future debt to be paid off - too much stacked against it even for a punt imv - good luck to all current holders I hope it works out for you but I fear it will not - dyor etc.

Just added a few more at 164.2p - the spread was 0.01pct - clearly a lot of interest at this price - Larry makes a fair point here - India with a trade deal makes it very difficult to argue against a Mittal takeover going forward - gla dyor etc

I think the cyber attack at MKS and the read through is not helping Ocado purely on sentiment - Ocado have different systems to MKS but if you through enough sh!it at something which the press are now doing then some of it will stick - I sold a chunk last week and sold my MKS shares before the cyber attack - the press are having a field day on this atm so probably more pain here to come short term - gla dyor etc

My concern here with the results are that they are good but regardless of that the market sells off on the basis that the next tu will be massively negative due to the impact from the cyber attack - at the end of the day markets are FORWARD looking and this scenario could well play out - gla dyor etc.

Trimmed a few this morning for an 18pct profit at 78.5p - happy with that - will keep the remainder for the tu on the 15th and buy back the ones I sold today if the sp falls or keep the ones I have long term if the sp rises - gla dyor etc

Been saying on here a takeover is likely for months now - which is the main reason I have been adding, my last add being last week - you need to ask the question why would a major company allocate time and resources speculating on various different projects to realise oil when they are not guaranteed to find it or cannot confirm the actual amount of oil there is - when the simple solution is to buy it guaranteed - this is what a takeover will do - BP I suspect not the only company interested here - the news over the weekend puts a floor on the BP price and that floor was cop on Friday - gla dyor etc.
