Alas - fell back to a 28.8p bid in a matter of seconds - this I think is going to be the issue here - day trading with profit taking at any opportunity - small movements here add up pdq in percentage terms which is a big draw for shorters unfortunately - gla dyor etc.

Some big buys just gone through on SETS - 29.32p just paid - interesting - maybe some traction here - lets see - gla dyor etc

I have to admit I was surprised at the tu yesterday, better than I had anticipated, - there were a few positive signs and the director buy, which wasnt insignificant augurs well for MCG - decided to buy a few back from the ones I sold at 31.5p - a short in effect but purely as a punt - lets see what plays out - gla dyor etc.

Sold half my holding here a few weeks back at just under 79p - decided to buy half of those back this morning at 76.8p - will buy the remainder on any further weakness - gla dyor etc.

Added at 362p - sp will imv be supported by bid talk and at the end of the day trade deals will/have to come through in order for countries throughout the world to grow their gdp to pay off their outstanding debt - you cannot have growth without a large rise in oil/gas output - may take some time but I have time and will wait it out - gla dyor etc.

Bought a few more ex divi at open to average my latest purchases - gla dyor etc.

Added at 468.6p - gla dyor etc.

Added some more at 350p this morning - assuming the 100m payout is legit that should offset a lot of the lossess in terms of forward earnings which has cratered the sp to date - assuming the cyber attack is resolved based on the same timescale as the Coop ie in the next week - any news on this should propel this higher as the results do not include the April net profits - gla dyor etc.

Read an article in the Times on Sunday - stockmarket analyst Ian Cowie giving JDW a glowing report and highlighting the potential for more to come - he was basically reiterating what I said on here weeks ago re capturing market share on price with both food and drink as other pubs struggle - nobody can compete with Wetherspoons and it is starting to show big time - gla dyor etc

BRC UK Retail sales very strong this morning, well up in the food sector - MKS has now fallen around 15pct from its peak last month - I have decided to take a small position this morning - may well fall further until this is resolved but personally I am happy to add on further weakness from here - gla dyor etc.

Money coming out of defensive stocks today and being reinvested into value stocks on the back of a US/China trade deal - decided to add some more here at 69.75p - gla dyor etc.

Bought an initial position here this morning at 372p - will see how the BRC UK Retail sales play out tomorrow and add some more to average if it falls further in time for the divi on Thursday - gla dyor etc.

I have to say I am rather pleased with my purchase at 293p last week - regretting not buying more now - for me a USA/China trade deal would see this share rerate back to previous highs around 366p in Feb - daft price atm based on fundamentals - gla dyor etc.
