469P PAID - NICE - Gla dyor etc.

Decided to sell 20pct of my holding here for a 22pct profit before the results tomorrow - always good to take a profit at the end of the day and 22pct is not too shabby - lets see how it plays out tomorrow - gla dyor etc.

I read the Times article over the weekend and the guy from Redwheel was asked about potential bids for MKS, he went on to say that any buyer would have to pay a premium in light of the MKS results and the path they were now on so I think it is possible that any potential bids have been discussed by those concerned - the fact that they are buying 12 Homebase stores and the increase in dividend tells me that they very confident going forward and are not too concerned with the cyber attack and its impact - I have added more this morning - gla dyor etc

Strong UK retail sales this morning with supermarkets performing well, should augur well for Tesco today - lets see - gla dyor etc.

Always nice to start the morning with an upgrade - turbulence on the bond markets may nullify this however - lets see - gla dyor etc.

"Carrington - what is your entry point" - where do you see this slipping to - Its a difficult one Idady - looking at SETS there are plenty of buyers atm around the 355p mark - MKS dropped to 346p on the 12th May so that would be seen as a resistence point from here from a trading perspective - I don't trade I invest and I have just bought a small tranche at 356.2p - the spread was only 0.03 so plenty of interest indicated at this price - it could well fall further pending cyber attack news at which point I will add but in larger volume - ultimately the cyber situation will be resolved and I take the long term view that MKS will continue to grow good style going forward - the 20pct divi increase indicates the board feel the same way - gl and please dyor - C

I did say in a previous post that even if results were exceptionally good, which they are, MKS could be sold off on the back of the cyber attack and it is proving to be the case atm - I am looking to add here if the drop gets silly - lets see - gla dyor etc.

Decided to sell my holding this morning at 177.2p - a big ask for VOD to break through a one year high to move north of this so overall best to take the profit at just over 9pct, not too shabby - good luck to all still holding - dyor etc.

Decided to take half of my recent buys here off the table before the results for a 5pct profit - not too shabby - will see what plays out tomorrow - I think the results should be good across the board but it will depend on Machins - needs to be upbeat with some positive news on the cyber attack - if this is the case then it goes north imo if not then it could take a hit - lets see - gla for tomorrow - dyor etc.

Big spike in sp just now - buying at 370p - gla dyor etc

Added a few more this morning at 73p - debt becoming less of an issue for VOD going forward - Germany now at the bottom of their GDP cycle and money being pumped into their economy by the German Gov will ultimately increase their GDP down the pipe imo - divi over 5pct - countries around the world now chasing growth, this is the ONLY way they are going to pay off their outstanding debt - telecoms will be essential to facilitate the growth required - will continue to add here on any weakness - gla dyor etc.
