Retirment - "SO thats just luck if you can buy back cheaper a few days later, but I only do this if I see 5% trends, 1 or 2 % is not worth the hassle or even the CGT if in a fund out of a TAX wrapper." - you have contradicted yourself there - you haven't seen the trend with MKS which is your own share! ie the 9-10pct range trade with MKS - over the last 2 months it has gone from around 325p to around 355p on 3 seperate occassions - fortunately I did see it and profitted from it - when you are claiming you invest on 5pct trends and miss a 9pct trend on the shares you are holding you lose credibility

"I am up on paper more than you buying and selling due to stamp duty" - that is a daft comment to make as you do not know me or what amount of money I have invested in MKS - you don't know what I have in my core holding, how long I have held my core holding for and how much that has made apart from the 9pct I have just made on my recent sale - you say 1 or 2pct is not worth it, sd at 0.5pct on the purchase leaves 1.5pct profit on 2pct - it all depends on how much money you are staking - all my profit goes tax free into the ISA along with the capital gain on the sale -

FACT. people like you will always be paupers." - I worked in the City of London for around 30 years and met plenty of people who have made a lot of money and I mean hundreds of millions- not one of them ever bragged about how much money they had made, they had no need to you see - I asked one guy who was a known millionnaire why he never wore a watch and he said why do I need to, I don't need to know what the time is - when people give it large about how much they have made they have usually made nothing - seek medical help man ffs -

Retirment - sure I said load up but I am allowed to make decisions that may or may not impact my portfolio on a daily basis - I made a couple of pence on my core holding at cop and around 9 pct on the shares I purchased at 326p (see my post on the 4th Sep) by selling this morning at 357p - as someone on here said everyone has their own strategies with regards to investing - I know you are a long term holder and I respect that but when you call someone a headless chicken because they have made a profit and their strategy is not the same as yours it makes you look daft - gl dyor etc.

Retirment - eh no mate I sold the shares I bought recently and retained my core holding, so hardly headless chicken - a profit is a profit - you need to be pragmatic not emotional when buying and selling shares - you sound emotional - gl dyor etc.

Well I got this one completely wrong - sold on the news and just bought a few back at 179p - vets business still strong and at this price it must surely be a takeover target - will add on further weakness - gla dyor etc

Decided to sell at open for 357p for a small profit on the back of Next results - they were cautious going forward which is never a good look for retail - will look to buy back after the UK Retail sales update tomorrow - gla dyor etc.

Added my final tranche this morning at 166.9p - around 2.5p less than yesterdays close and 0.67 below ex divi at 1.83p - this lowers my overall average purchase price by around 1p - 80pct of my holding in dividends will go into my ISA free of tax in a months time and the ex divi purchase lowering my overall average purchase will benefit the capital gain as and when I decide to sell - gl dyor etc.

Fender, - never wrong to take a profit matey - well done - as a trader a profit is a profit - I am long term here and have been adding all the way down as my posts will show - I am now in profit but I firmly believe there is plenty more upside here - MKS trading only just above cyber lows when really it should imho be over 400p - macro/micro economic events could always alter this and push the sp down of course, and if that happens I will simply buy more to average out my holding - gl dyor etc.

An update from the ftse market report this afternoon - I have been telling people on this board the Autumn collection was strong and selling fast - this basically validates what I have been saying - "Strutting its stuff at the top is Marks and Spencer Group PLC (LSE:MKS) after reports that the retailer is banking on new womenswear ranges helping its comeback from the cyberattack earlier this year. A showcase of the new collection was shared in the run-up to London Fashion Week and some Charlie XCX-inspired 'brat' looks seemed to receive a warm welcome in the press." - the train is leaving the station guys, load up imho - gl dyor etc.

Valueformoney - to average down my overall purchases matey - if sp closes today at 170p and goes down to 168p tomorrow that purchase at 168p averages down the overall cost of the purchases I have made to date - gl dyor etc

Centrica rallied on Wednesday as Morgan Stanley upgraded the British Gas owner to 'overweight' from 'equalweight' and said it was now its 'top pick' UK utility.- Regretting not adding more yesterday, ex divi tomorrow so should go down a couple of pence, if so I will be adding my final tranche - totally undervalued atm with the recent move into nuclear, should be close to 200p imho on fundementals alone - gla dyor etc.

Its a good point Senator - I think the pe goes out of the window on shares like TRST, you are buying on first mover status, rather like Rightmove back in the day - everyone still uses them rather than their competitors - the same is playing out with Trustpilot, having said that I trimmed this morning at 234p - gl dyor etc.
