Added a few more this morning at 154.1p - gla dyor etc.

Just went onto the MKS website to try and bag a pair of linen shorts and some chinos for a holiday in October and I was stunned to see what was on sale, which wasn't that much and what was on sale was selling pdq - I checked out the womanswear section and again very little left which means they have sold more at full price - the thought process with the cyber attack was that there would be a huge amount of surplus stock to clear in the sale which doesn't look to be the case from what I can see - UK Retail sales figures out tomorrow morning - I will be looking to add some more here if it falls on bad numbers - gla dyor etc.

Bagged a few at 467p just before cop - gla dyor etc.

Added a few more here yesterday at 94p so now just about breaking even - I live just outside London and I am seeing a shift in London prices atm especially inner London which has stagnated for a year or so - with interest rates falling and rents now higher than the equivalent of buying the market is picking up imv - the TW Farringdon Dev has sold out the first 3 phases and the last phase is selling fast which underlines my view - UK still has more leeway in terms of rate cuts, inflation permitting, and boosting the housing market in the budget could be a get out of jail card for the Gov to create some growth - a lot of business revenue comes in from a buoyant housing market so this may well factor in the next budget, in the meantime I will keep adding here on weakness. - gla dyor etc

Purchased the shares back I sold a few weeks back for 358p yesterday at 326p - an 8pct gain on the sale/purchase so not too shabby - as I said in an earlier post, the sp looks good value below 330p and for me the cyber attack/compensation etc is priced in below 330p - consumer staples always a good bet during a recession which looks on the cards for the UK - people will still need to eat and clothe themselves🙂 - gla dyor etc.

Decided to sell the remainder of my holding here this morning at 388p - happy with that for an overall 20pct gain - love this share but I am not loving this Government and how they are screwing up the UK economy - at the end of the day a profit is a profit and I am going through my portfolio atm to release profit, while there is still profit to be taken, before the next budget - gla dyor etc.

Yes a grim day here as it was with all UK stock - at this price though for me the cyber fallout is priced in - I will be looking to buy back the shares I sold at 358p a few weeks ago which at sub 330p is an 8pct gain on a short sell/buy basis - lets see - gla dyor etc.

John - Whole UK market is screwed up due to the current mismanagement of the UK economy, all shares marked down to their lows as there is not much prospect of growth in the UK and until this is sorted then bond yields will continue to rise as will debt, while the pound falls - the only way out is to get inflation under control in order to lower rates and boost growth, - I will continue to hold and add here if it falls much further as I believe more people will be drawn to JDW for a night out as they watch their pennies due to tax rises which must surely be next on the agenda - lets see - gl dyor etc.

"@Carrington, do you have any thoughts on how UK shares would be affected either by more punitive taxes come October and/or the increasingly talked about IMF bailout?" - I have been selling some of my UK stocks Tawse to reduce my overall exposure on the lead up to the forthcoming budget - personally I am holding onto my consumer staples stocks, MKS, OCDO and PETS, and adding to CNA and BT - these stocks tend to hold up in difficult economic times - only my opinion though matey - gl dyor etc

Totally agree with regards to the Labour Gov - socialists are all well and good until they run out of spending other peoples money - this is basically a re run of the old 70's Labour Gov that ended up begging the IMF for a bail out - Reeves and Starmer are basically two cheeks of the same arse, clueless morons scrabbling around to find someone else to punish with a tax burden in order to avoid bankrupcy - gla dyor etc.

Unfortunately, I think the roll out of new pubs has not gone as quickly as first thought with JDW which will impact on the bottom line, - hence the sp fall which is disappointing - new pubs opening this week I believe - I am still well in profit here and have been adding on the way down but it is rather disconcerting to see the sp with a sell price below 7 quid atm - I think they can afford to lift prices on food again and still retain the footfall, wether they do or not is another question - gla dyor etc.

Yup fair play Fender a fair entry point imv - agree with a comment Neil posted a few days ago - Autumn clothing range looks strong - augurs well in the run up to Christmas - gl dyor etc.

Added at 97.8p - not too concerned re demotion, I have held lots of shares that have moved up and down through the indexes and it has made very little difference to the sp overall - gla dyor etc.
