the problem with Tom apart from talking absolute crap is he never put a caveat on his comments like dyor - that is a real problem if a novice investor starts believing he is correct and acts on his advice (if you can call it that) - on a plus side ITV closing in on a pound - looks like double gin and tonic for me and Mrs C before dinner tonight

MKS not going up as much as I expected today - I put that down to market sentiment concentrating on UK retail turmoil as an overall negative for retail stocks - personally, I see this as a positive for MKS - less players equals more opportunities to gain market share - my buy order at 125.8p is still waiting to be filled - gla dyor etc

my view of MKS right now is it is cheap under 130p - and looking at the market trading this morning is is being bought heavily at anything under 130p - I can see this going to 150p if a Brexit deal is announced this week

If Ofcom will not let BT make a reasonable profit then BT should refuse to do the work it is as simple as that - who else is going to do it ffs - Ofcom have no option but to give BT the go ahead - the alternative is to send a signal out to the rest of the world that you are welcome to come to the UK but we will regulate you to within an inch of your life - not the message one wants to send out right now imo

Agree with that Chitling and I feel for the workers who may end up losing their jobs if Arcadia cannot find a buyer- however as Arcadia owns the high street clothing retailers Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Topman, Topshop, Wallis and the out of town chain Outfit, that leaves a big gap in the market and gives MKS more opportunity to secure new customers - as my Dad always told me - "there is never an ill wind that doesn't blow some good"

I have a buy order in at 125.8p if it gets back there to add to my holding - I suspect mks closing down for boxing day has had some sort of impact as well as no deal yet on Brexit, but correct decision made to reward staff for hard work and there will be plenty of that to be done with mks opening their stores until midnight closer to Christmas - if we get the deal on brexit which I think we will then this share goes to 1.50 by 1st Jan imo

PANG - the main source of income for Ireland is exports - they export more to the UK than anyone else in the world apart from the USA - a no deal and tariffs put on their exports means bankruptcy - they will be pulling for a deal no question

I would be absolutely astounded and shocked if there was to be a no deal Brexit Neil - Europe in a mess atm with several countries technically bankrupt or verging on it - a no deal would finish off the euro concept - not going to happen - too much to lose on both sides here - it will go down to the wire I think but we get a deal in the end
