I think the idea is aimed at luring home deliveries possibly from Tesco/Sainsbury's clients who like to buy their finest products and will not swap to Marks via Ocado as they believe it will be too expensive - no harm to concentrate minds with a few head turners - agree though that usp for Marks is the quality and that should always be paramount

I think you are misunderstanding the point here - I am talking about competing with Tesco finest products which are in direct competition with Marks - no point in letting a company take market share from you if you don't need to - re value products - marks already do that with basic staple items so not sure of the point you are trying to make?

Concur Bo - I have said it many times on here that Marks food is the best in the UK, that is undisputable - IF Marks can compete on cost with Tesco, which it may well be able to do with the substitution of robots for staff via Ocado, this could be a real game changer -

Dan - for funds buying in today it is hard to see a reason apart from maybe a no deal brexit, why they would want to sell the stock they have bought with the dividend to be secured in December - I can see this going a lot higher as fund managers switch from tech to value stocks that actually pay something back - with no adverse macro economic issues before Christmas it wouldn't surprise me if VOD was trading somewhere in the region of 150p at the start of the New Year

Nice to see the Goldman target, only 5p off my own - shorts closing to fuel the share price increase going forward and plenty of money saved up from furlough for lots to be spent on Christmas - going to be a bumper year end for Marks - dow futures pointing up atm - a strong showing over there today and any positive news today on Brexit and I wouldn't be surprised if mks is pushing towards 130p - lets see - gla and good weekend to all

Tom - today - TV is not a good recovery share. It is high stakes gamble dependent on a buyout - Tom - 1st Nov - ITV will not see £1 for a minimum of 5 years, 50p before Christmas - the saying "when you are in a hole stop digging" comes to mind here - you are burrowing your way to the earth's core! PMORGAN RAISES BT GROUP PRICE TARGET TO 170 (160) PENCE - 'OVERWEIGHT' - big reallocation of funds from tech to value going on atm imo - tech stocks are going to take a beating going forward, one because they are toppy on valuation and two because countries all over the world are looking for surplus income right now and they are an easy target - bt goes higher, much higher imo as fund managers look for a new home going forward
