I would expect MKS to go through 150p this afternoon when the yanks open up - Nasdaq is going south as investors realise the tech stock valuations are becoming increasingly hard to justify - funds will imo reallocate their portfolios to include UK recovery stocks in light of that budget yesterday and MKS will be one of the stocks - lets see

ITV News coming back in the ratings against the beeb news - that is all that matters Trent - Agree with you in that he is not a particular favourite of mine but ratings is all - plenty of people out there like him - a higher rating means more demand for advertising slots means more money coming in, means more profit means a higher share price

Love this guy Sunak - the super deduction is a master stroke - will bring huge business to the UK - corporation tax does not increase to 25p until 2023 - massive business is coming to the UK imo and most of the holidays that have been booked will have to be in the UK due to europe still having massive problem with vaccinations - that will keep the money IN the UK which means more spend going into MKS - looking for plus 150p soon as the UK starts rebounding into growth and money is diverted to UK stocks to take advantage of it

That is a brave call by Deutsche Bank imo - to upgrade a few days before results - I have a feeling they know that results will be good on Friday and their previous recommendation of 96p is going to look silly by Friday afternoon - onwards and upwards for the mighty ITV

Hey Velo, I think a rerating for UK stock is on the cards - UK now forging ahead in terms of vaccines while the EU is still scratching its arse - UK will be first to turn growth around - you can see the pent up demand for holidays already filtering through, best part about it is the holidays are mostly UK (me and mrc c booked one for June in the UK last night) this will fuel the growth even further as it keeps the proceeds in the UK - ALL my portfolio is in UK stocks with BT making up around 15pct of that - I am very confident in BT going forward and will add on significant drops - agree with Fleccy re possible mergers - far too many telecoms players in europe imo compared to the states - let's see

I think the biggest plus going forward apart from the vaccine is the commitment from the gov to go all out green - cities and towns throughout the UK are now in a situation where they basically HAVE to get cars out of their city/town which means more and more buses - I topped up here at 90p but my average is around 74p - I have around 20pct of my total portfolio in this share that is how confident I am - looking for 130p before September which is on the cards imo - gla dyor etc

TBH I don't think MKS are competing or wanting to compete with Boohoo, Asos - they are targeting 18-30 year olds whereas MKS are targeting 40 plus - I am coming round to the idea of MKS solidifying its position by acquiring Jaeger and adding Hobbs etc as concessions as it fits in with the MKS offering - just hope they haven't spent too much as the dividend returning has to be the main priority as far as I am concerned - looking forward to the budget to see what is proposed for these out of town operators like Boohoo and Asos - playing field is uneven at best for high street operators with business rates from the 16th century still in operation - time for that boil to be lanced

Nice to see a director buying even though only a small amount - they have more insight than any of us in terms of the prospects going forward for the business - down on my 90p purchase atm but well well up on my 74p average - looking forward to next week - should be some good sentiment re vaccines etc - gla and good weekend

looks like the recent drop for MKS has been priced into the retail sales figures which is a relief - yes re Starmer Chitling - spend spend indeed - same old Labour answer to everything, just throw money at it - people have now wised up to this, that is why Labour are still behind in the polls when they should be miles ahead - Starmer - another lawyer like Blair but with no clue, no new ideas, all he can offer is criticism -
