When you see huge companies like Google investing a billion in a telecom company you know for sure that telecoms stocks are way way undervalued - more money will go into them and sentiment will drive them higher, much higher imo - I think we are looking at 130p plus pdq here and more if the results stack up - gla dyor etc

It's just sentiment driven EC - Russia, US rates rising et al - no good for sentiment - all an excuse for walking down shares in companies like MKS in my humble opinion

Chilting - what a fantastic presentation - the two hours or less delivery slots will imo be dominated by ocado/mks going forward - 50k of items to choose from delivered within 2 hours at no extra premium - supermarkets will not be able to live with that sort of service imo - looking to add more to my MKS holding on the strength of this

VOD up around 10pct in the last month Mikey, bound to be some profit taking, - rotation going on atm from tech stocks that forecast a profit in 20 years time to value dividend stocks that pay a dividend and actually MAKE money - VOD is one of them - a pause here then it resumes the upward trend imo

Looks like 212p was the bottom guys - I got it slightly wrong with buys to add to my holding at 235p and 224p but at the end of the day this is a marathon not a sprint - 3 year game plan here and I am looking to triple bag on an average around 120p - as I said before, a rotation going on from high growth tech stocks to value dividend stocks - MKS is in play and the bid is in there for free - MKS share price as typing is at 224p - gla dyor etc

Totally agree Chilting - all stocks being hammered apart from telecom, which I am fortunate to be invested in, sentiment is all atm - completely irrational when you look at MKS results and the fact there was bid interest around 240p - I am looking at adding more just waiting to see how much the Dow drops this afternoon before making a decision -

Netflix tanking - down 25pct today - growth figures not panning out as planned - I guess they will just have to buy ITV now and expand by acquisition

Agree JJ - I was reading an article a few days ago about clothing and how people are now less inclined to buy tat, throwaway type clothes preferring instead to buy quality that will last at a decent price - MKS fits well into this category and you can see this playing out as MKS increase market share in clothes and Boohoo Asos and all the rest of them that sell crap nosedive - Mrs C came into my office this morning with two tops she had bought from MKS - they looked quality - I had no idea where they were from and assumed she had bought them from White Stuff or Hobbs where she normally shops as they looked top notch - this is a sign of things to come guys so don't get too down hearted with the current share price - momentum now firmly with MKS - good things coming down the track going forward imo

Dow took a hiding last night so I am anticipating a small drop here on the follow through from that - I am still looking to add more on weakness so will be watching keenly

This is the way shopping is going - and this is why Marks is going to obliterate the opposition with regards to food - it already has the best food in the UK and soon it will have the best overall shopping experience - anyone who sold on the results is a mug imo - last of the tree shaking going on today - I am looking for 3 quid plus by September - gla dyor etc

Goldman Sachs raises BT to Conviction Buy List (Buy) - price target 270 (180) pence
Bold recommendation before the results in a couple of weeks - hopefully we can push on to 200p pdq

Prospects not projects bloody predictive text!!!

JG very difficult to get the buys spot on I bought some around 12p higher than what they are now and some more around 2p higher than what they are now to add to my current holding - if you're investing rather than trading its no big deal -its only relevant if you have to sell-fundamentals are spot on here as are the projects going forward imo -

fatprofits - seen the Amazon story a few times - they have no market scale atm so it will depend on how they can accumulate it - they may be a threat to Tesco, Sainsbury's etc who delivery food at a loss, Marks using Ocado robots rather than people so far more cost effective - the other thing which came up when this was announced and a market survey was done was most people do not want branded food which is generally not as good as Marks food anyway - I could see Amazon buying Marks though - in that way they get instant market share, the best food in the UK and an inroad into the clothing sector!

JG68 - Its called squeezing the pi's out - so the big boys can mop up when the share is what they want it to be - been doing this 30 years and seen it play out many times - unfortunately the inexperienced pi's panic and sell out once they have taken a percentage loss - the big players love it!

Also re bid - slightly different now to November Neil - at that point MKS turnaround was not fully established, now it is - takeover funds love companies that have turned it around, less risk matey -
