This is an interesting read, explaining in more detail about the specials for sale at Newport Beach. It seems like the owner possibly has a 'special' arrangement with AML that allows him purchase 'specials' and he also appears to have a good relationship with Q, which each car passes through before it is presented for sale on his forecourt. Perhaps some of the other large American dealerships also have similar 'special' arrangements which would explain the anomaly that we have been trying to resolve. This is just a theory of course :-))

The attached shows that there are definitely still some cars for sale that weren't built to customer order, but maybe these are limited to America as mentioned by others. Perhaps this will get raised at the results or AGM.

Thanks for the info Tiny. Let's hope it's not too much longer before they're out. Having said that, they're providing us with great buying opportunities and LTHs will get the gains eventually.

I hope you're right C26. Every time the share goes over £20 I've suspected Adeem are selling which always brings it back down. When they are finally out the SP will start to move forward.

C26 may well be correct and it might be Adeem that have again sold more shares. A couple of months ago when their last non-executive director was asked to leave it was because their share holding had dropped to less than 7%. But 7% of 115 million is a heck of a lot of shares to sell. Multiply that by £20 and we are talking about £150m worth!! So it would be really interesting to establish what percentage they have left. Once they have finally sold, the shares can rise freely. Tiny...you seem to have Charlotte's ear- Do you think you could ask her if she can see what their current holding is? I hope you don't mind me asking, only I dont think we should have loads of different people bombarding her with questions. Cheers mate.

I topped up yesterday at 19.54. I suppose I should have waited but I had already decided that if it dropped back to 19.50ish I'd buy, so I'm happy. I dont think it makes much difference to be honest...in a few years we'll all look back at these prices and laugh at how cheap they were.

I agree with what you're saying too Doyezee. If we can manage mid table that's plenty good enough and I think both drivers are going to do that on a regular basis once Seb gets a bit more used to the car. The main thing is the amount of coverage and advertising we're getting. The cameras do like to follow Seb and the commentators certainly liked our safety car. It was in full view of the cameras during all the interviews prior to the race and the camera man zoomed in a few times...you could tell he liked it. They said much faster than the merc safety car it is too and how it handles better...brilliant advertising. Then we've had the Vettell/DBX adverts all weekend during testing. I think the race results count for nothing next to all of that :-))

I knew about this failure C24 but as you know, we often learn more from what went wrong than from what went right and I'm sure Stroll learnt lessons that won't be repeated. He followed this failure with his greatest success, making the majority of his fortune from Michael Kors. However, we all know that our investment in AML is not without risk , but I think this is further mitigated by having such an outstanding CEO as Moers working with Stroll. So far, things are going to plan.

See the link below. I bet Lawrence Stroll is seething at the fact that Sebs poor qualifying time was due to Mazapin, son of the guy who tried to cheat him out of his F1 team!! Mazapin is starting as he means to go on...he broke a gentleman's agreement by passing Seb and others and then went into a spin causing the yellow flags that slowed Seb's lap. Well, we already know he's no gentleman...like father like son! Let's hope Seb leaves him dust tomorrow. Poor Seb's had a real bad run of luck, first with reliability in testing and now this. I really hope he can do ok tomorrow, if he can scrape into the top 10 I think he will have done really well all things considered. I think it will take a few races to get the car up to its best and for Seb to be 100% happy with it. Good luck to Seb and Lance. Enjoy the race everyone.

Well if Nite actually does have any stock (which I very much doubt too) and he does sell, at least some good will have come out of this weekend even if we do end up with a poor race result.

I agree with you Fluker. Some Europeon countries will go into a short term partial lock down but it wont impact us that much. It will be more than offset by improvements in the UK and US as we start to emerge from our lock downs. Europe will eventually get their act together with vaccines and we'll see a steady rise in global vaccine outputs as the year progresses. This is just a small bump in the road :-))

That's some article from the daily mail. :-)) Unfortunately I can't access the telegraph. As for the drop in SP I reckon it's the market makers up to their usual games collecting shares before they rise.

Good find Vorloch. This must be the reason for the SP increase over the last couple of days. The market makers will have known this was on its way. The first of 10 new cars with just 9 more to come by the end of next year! Things wont stand still for too long :-))

I really like the team's positive attitude to the weekend's testing. Especially Seb who was pretty unlucky first with the gearbox and then the turbo boost. I felt quite sorry for him, but he's stayed positive throughout, saying how much they've learnt and how they can improve the car before the first race.
As for the SP, I'm really pleased to have a bit of stability at the moment, far preferable to constant swings up and down for no reason. However, if you're not fully invested, I do think now's probably a good time to add before we get into the full swing of the F1 season. BUT, don't expect to make a huge profit overnight...this is a long burner for patient investers...IMHO of course :-))

Lance is driving consistently well at 4th yesterday and 3rd today which shows that the car is fast again this year. I feel sorry for Seb who openly admitted yesterday that he had work to do to get up to speed with the car. Then he got hit with the gear box disaster this morning and only managed 9 laps. He needs a trouble free morning tomorrow.

I know its hard to resist responding to C26 and Nite, I did it myself the other day and regretted it afterwards. All that happens is you empower them and they keep coming back with more and more...its relentless. You need to cut off the oxygen supply and eventually they'll go away. It will take time but just be patient, or filter them.

Nel...Im happy with the SP too. I dont really expect too much movement until later in the year although I've no idea what impact F1 is going to have so watch this space. Of course, I'm no expert lol. Friday's going to be exciting when we get to see the cars being tested...enjoy :-))
