You are right Tomroberts, the AMR21 has got to be the best looking machine on the grid this year. What a fantastic marketing tool for AML...we couldn't have hoped for better. And we've got a new dealership opening up in Bahrain on the day of the GP. They'll be queuing up to place orders after they've drooled over the AMR21s and the pace and medic cars at the race. Stroll's nailed it once again :-))

TraderAE...I've said it before, AML are like no other shares. Its not just an investment, you're buying into a whole entertainment package with F1. Watching the races became much more interesting for me last year and this year its going to be on a whole different level. I wasn't that bothered about F1 before I bought shares, this year I'll be glued to the TV.

Hi TraderAE. This is my first large (ish) holding in a share too and like yourself, I want to hear about negatives (in a constructive way) as well as positives so that we can have healthy debate. The problem is we've got a small number of derampers who are as Rob has said, causing people to lose confidence in the shares and sell up, losing money. They're also causing a lot of valued members of this BB to lose heart and leave. We LTHs need to stick together :-))

Frank. You are so right. My policy has always been to ignore these people. Then the last couple of days I allowed myself to get sucked into responding to C26. I was pleasant with him and answered all his questions, but all he did was throw it back in my face with more and more negatives and insinuated that I was making figures up. I had naively thought that he did have shares and was asking questions to help deal with his own insecurities over his investment. I have decided there's no way he can own shares if he is so negative about the Company. Nobody who feels the way he does about AML would own shares...he has to be a shorter. I made a BIG MISTAKE getting into any dialogue with him and it won't be happening again.
Like you Frank, I strongly advise everyone to ignore C26, Nite and any other disruptive derampers/shorters

Englangder. If you really have sold, I hope you'll reconsider and buy back in. If not, it's been a pleasure mate and you'll be missed along with your humour and charts. I really think you're making a mistake leaving cos you've been rattled. All you need to do is just filter them. You're not seriously going to give up on AML due to a few de-rampers are you? If you dont come back, I wish you all the very best in all you do mate.

Englangder...don't give up mate. If it gets too much just filter. I have to admit I'd miss this BB. It really helps fill the neverending day lol.

C26. I think you're out of order insulting Paul. Also, I happen to agree with him as I'm sure most share holders do. Of course 10 car refreshes by 2023 is good news...you can't seriously expect 10 cars to be redesigned overnight! We do want these to be done right don't we?! And they're going to be launched between now and 2023, not ALL in 2 years time. As for DBX v sports car orders...We know from Q4 results that we can produce about 1200 DBX per quarter so, 4 months order book = approx 1600 DBX orders. I'm happy with that, given that we're in the midst of a pandemic! Put your positive cap on C26...things ARE getting better. The UK is just starting to emerge from an extremely long lockdown. I live in the NW where we've effectively been locked down since October due to the tier system!! America is similar. So yes, sales are going to get much better than they have been, especially with all the marketing we are about to get from F1. And the thing is, sales were already on the up, as demonstrated by the results in Q4. Stop being so negative.

Jack. The mercedes deal is massive for us and the recent sales increase in China really promising. Stroll has said China sales are weighted to DBX and with a hybrid coming in Q3, I think that will boost sales over there even further!

C26. Not too sure if the difference between wholesale and retail gives the answer you think. Moers was asked that at the Q&A and he said it was because a lot of cars were being shipped. It can take weeks to ship cars to the US and China. I don't honestly know enough to say.

We all know it's not guaranteed mate. But do we think Stroll's 5 year plan is going to work? Are the cars going to sell? Look at the whole package over the next few years... DBX derivatives, 10 new cars, mid engine cars, specials, F1 marketing, EV, mercedes partnership. I'm not ramping mate, but when you start putting it all together, we're still only at the very beginning. It's gonna take time but the green shoots were there in Q4. By the end of this year I think things will really start moving up through the gears.

C26. You know that there's no way of knowing for sure. I am trusting what Stroll and Moers are telling us. Thats why I'm invested. If you've got 35K invested, that's a lot of money and perhaps the one question that ou really need to ask is should you really be invested in AML. You just don't seem to believe or trust at all. I'm careful, I listen to the results...I watch them again... I read the manuscript and I ask questions and then I decide that I'm still happy with progress, but you seem to have endless doubts. If I was anywhere near as doubtful as you...I'd be out.

C26...Just got back from my walk and lunch and caught up on the BB. Firstly, I want to make one thing clear, I didn't just make numbers up out of my head. As you very well know, I was talking about the results for APAC, which I have now checked in the FY Results and they are as follows:
Q4 2019 = 358 sold
Q4 2020 = 483 sold
This is an increase of 35% on the same quarter from 2019. YES, I was wrong, by 1%...I underestimated! Incidentally, Europe increased by 26%. The UK decreased by 27% and US decreased by 22%. I dont think the UK and US should be such a big surprise given the way they have been hit by Covid.
Secondly, I would like to make it clear that I would never intentionally mislead anyone. I am not a ramper, I intend to hold my shares for a number of years so have nothing to gain from short term spikes. I do admit I enjoy it and get excited like everyone else when they rise...I am only human. Now I don't intend getting into silly arguments, I discourage others and must practice what I preach.

C26 makes the point that in 2020 APAC were 42% down overall on 2019 sales. What he fails to say is that it is because they made almost no sales in the first half of the year being 74% down in Q1 and 86% down in China. HOWEVER, by Q4 their sales were GANGBUSTERS and were 34% up on 2019 Q4 figures. This is this the vital bit of
information that C26 conveniently missed telling you. China's sales were about 25% (cant remember exact figure) up in Q3 and 34% in Q4, a very strong and improving performance :-))

A bit more info in this extract from the FT article and the first time I've heard Stroll say when DBX is sold out til..."July" ...not bad considering we are in the midst of a pandemic.

On a more amusing note, I'm loving what the Italian press have called Seb..."agent Vettle". If he drives well this year and starts destroying the competition that's the perfect name for him.
