Not really - they should have already known. Looks like they haven't been that "busy busy" that did not have enough time over the last 9 months. Actually now I am thinking like colin. they should have known this when they put pen to paper..they only had the one contract to worry about

don't know about shutting people out - you can always buy when the story has a bit more support. However one RNS can change things dramatically - like last week - the question is what and when.

As price is down again the buying demand is less than selling - which is all that matters

Bear - the government appear to have been planning to stop free lateral flow tests next april - was widely reported. my fear for a long time has been that the longer calamity left it the more chance he was going to miss out. I did still think he was going to get his snout in the gov trough though

The new variant may change that by prolonging free tests - on the other hand if they boost everyone then they may go ahead with it - and put demands on private sales. you have to do your own test before doing xyz ...like currently with travel

how much this will benefit odx depends on them getting self test approval and distribution. I am sure will be willing to sign an exclusive deal on self test lft - but that would stop odx elsewhere. it is one thing doing it for pro test and quite another for the self test market

the variant has changed the game quite a bit - and i think the next few weeks are going to be pivotal in many ways

1) will odx tests detect new variant - if not forget about it
2) will the gov continue with free tests - they could come calling - or will they just buy cheap chinese tests again
3) how much demand will the gov put on commercial tests? can odx cash in?

horse - the advice that i gave if you look back was not to buy at this price. We could carry on down and then you can buy cheaper. Even if we bounce back on a recovery you will still have time to get back in at a reasonable price in my view. it is a risk v reward calculation. i suspect you want people to buy so the price goes up and you can get out - so is your advice and position honest?

if you already hold then you have to weigh up if you think ODX has a good long term future. I am sure they will get CDTA and self use in uk and eu - providing the test can detect the new variant. In all honesty i think approvals will now take longer as the new variant has to be looked at closely and that will take time. i can't see any body approving a test with a brand new highly transmissible variant. I am hoping current tests do detect it not as a PI but as a person worried about the consequences if they don't

i have already said i believe DAM could be £8m a year if they get self test and decide to contract. the worry being colin selling exclusive rights to what is in effect UK and spain. please someone take his pen away and give it to the lawyer. using that figure the current price could be the right value. There is no way the non covid stuff comes close to supporting the current mcap - at least not until 2023.

i think ODX is still over valued- whether sentiment can keep it up in 20s is another question. I do think odx will recover - they have a great portfolio- but they may need to ditch the flotsam.
unfortunately the timing is not great.pre- xmas often sees a sell off and I can't see news in the next 3 weeks.

my guess is that by xmas market close the price will be lower

Harvey - I agree . That was the hard thing after last week's presentation. It wasn't hopeful enough to just sit back and wait it out.

It was a total rerate. You have to look with completely new eyes as the jam went with the expiry of the contract.

I wouldn' t suggest people buy any more until the dust settles.

It is so crazy after winning a gov contract. Interesting all the tweets like Tesla when we went up 10% on twitter speculation. But radio silence on 2 days of quite large drops.

Impossible to say. Some think it is worth 11p but that is cold reality and not taking into account investor sentiment .
I think it could go beneath these levels if we don't get news soon ..and I don't see what news is imminent . Lft are obviously being questioned due to new variant...so I doubt if that will expedite any approvals...more like the opposite as no point approving something that does not pick up the newest and most transmissible strain.

Of course with all those announced top ups it is surprising we are not back up to a £1

i do not know anything about JADAM - I only caught the tail end of his posts. Though i suspect he may have had an agenda - he did call most things right. unfortunately being banned from this site can be just down to people making false accusations and reporting posts etc. Lets face it if you can't argue your case then getting your opponent removed is your best tactic.
