russia is probably making a profit from oil and gas compared to pre ukraine invasion - due to the increase in oil price.
however if 2022 economy is going to reduce by 15% that is a big chunk - i suspect it will end up being higher
and that is a ridiculous figure for 2023 as we don't know how long the war will last.
however putin and the russians are stubborn...they are not going to want to lose face

sanctions are going to hurt russia and the rest of the world.
i think as we start to feel it more and more ukraine will start to lose western public support - the war is already disappearing off the front pages. prices of fuel and food are going up in the uk...more elec and gas price hikes coming
there will be pressure for peace talks

russis will have a lot of south east - putin already making it easier for people to become russian citizens and those more ruski parts will be given over.
there will come a point where zelensky will have to concede - if western support starts to dry up.

CD4 is currently losing £300k per month or £3.6m a year. so that is how much more revenue they need to make per year to break even. it is an albatross around odx neck currently
the test seems a good one - so someone may be able to make money out of it....unlike odx who couldn't sell the last cold beer in the desert.

the longer it takes to sell - the more desperate odx will be - they have only budgeted for 4 months more of losses - and od will be happy for anything they can get from the sale

despite all the posts on here about covid........ that ship would seem to have sailed unless a more severe variant appears this autumn / winter. it seems wrong anyway to be hoping for another disaster so novacyt can respond - just to get the SP up .

i still think that ncyt need to hit us with a very KISS forward strategy....these are are our new products XYZ which do ABC and has a global market of £Q billions- so that we can all see that a reasonable share of the market will generate a
decent income.

until then the market will just react with "???" *shrug*

byp - clearly the communication ups when they need something from us.

sonnets - i suspect it is a buyers market and also interested parties know that ODX are desperate to unload the loss making division (£300k a month). ODX previously indicated they would be willing to abandon at no cost - which any company who have researched will know.. on the flip side if they do have interest from multiple parties this could drive the price up.
my guess is they will get up to £3m.

i have said all along the chinese will buy one batch..reverse engineer and be producing and selling it cheaper than odx can.
i am sure i read that they had had no further orders and were possibly not expecting any more. also the fact that they keep separating this in their financials and giving the "increase in sales" without it - suggests that they know that they will not be getting any more and don't want their figures skewed by it

lets face it they only bought in to help get the placing done....a) it shows support for the placees and b) some of odx finest brains will say "oh look they have skin in the game"

nothing more nothing less. could you imagine the flack if they did not buy in? these guys are only after securing their jobs and wages.
back of the sofa change is about a months pay for them - even if they lose it prob got them a years worth of pay

foor - from my understanding a number of platforms are not allowing buys but will let you sell.
this is no doubt having an effect on the trading volume. i am guessing most in this share are just waiting in hope for an end to the conflict and the potential upside in SP.

this kind of "banning" will also make it difficult to buy in time if we get surprised by good news

if you look back - you will see the implication was that my criticism of DA was not justified because i had not done the basics - eg read annual report and/or that I had an agenda......both not true. i had read the stuff previously /listened to the presentation and have no agenda - just want to make my paper loss back asap.

i do research NCYT - and am still at a loss as to what the specific strategy going forward is ?
surely it would be a lot easier for someone to say "xyz"...
eg in 2020/21 - the objective was covid and we knew what tests were available and was was being worked on

the fact no one can - and are getting rattled....kind of proves my point.

Val - my take was not that they were "investing" in NCYT shares but they were after a deal with us on something we had / could offer. i didn't see them as able to buy out NCYT

so the question is what happened? why have they gone off the boil?
Have they lost interest - if so why? are they as unimpressed with DA as a lot of us LTH are?
or are they just seeing that the SP is in no mans land - drifting downward and there is no immediate rush?

i am guessing the staff at NCYT bought in recently on the bio promise
