wilson - you may have a point on glassdoor. it is not inconceivable that there may be some fake reviews and possibly disgruntled employees are more likely to post.- though from my goldfish memory some of the anon ones i read the company seemed to know who they were?
however what if they are all or majority true? bears consideration

sad f - cd4 was losing £300k a month - it is interesting that the choo choo gang are hailing it like it is £300k a month income....not that it was another disaster in odx portfolio that they could produce a great test and still sell at a loss. yes odx will be saving but they should not really have been losing it in the first place and for so long

you are quite right that the horse is not over the line - the sale could fall through.
the pie in the sky valuations - more than the whole company is worth for a loss making product that at one point the company suggested they might just abandon - are amusing. i am not sure if they are really believed or it is just a pump....i suspect reality will burst that bubble soon enough.
the royalties are to lower the sale price - so i will still go with my guestimate of £2m tops

vs - it is a board to discuss and try to understand the company better. the crash in SP tells you something is not going right. i think it is best to try and understand it for the sake of your hard earned cash

i know some will hide behind dhsc dispute but it is much more than that.

it seems some people can't handle contrarian pov. i get it ..they are under water and scared of scrutiny in the company less it lowers the sp further. personally i want to hear all sides of the argument so i can make my mind up. if you are not secure in your belief in the company then maybe best to sell rather than insult those who highlight the potential issues.

i have a large stake and currently at a large paper loss. i don't believe anything i read on here will affect the SP. that will be driven by the actions of the company themselves. i still have faith that it will come good - i think they will win against dhsc and that the science is good in the company.

agreed. the continued tenuous links of any linkedin likes and articles around the world on any kind of diagnostics might make people feel better on here but seems often meaningless in reality.

surely then ncyt would not be responsible? i am sure if it were down to training then ncyt would be prepared to offer it - even as a gesture of goodwill to foster a stronger relationship. i bet the "specialists" who can train staff are hardly on exorbitant wages.
in my work - companies are only too eager to come and train as they know it guarantees their product will be used.

B2 - I can't remember the exact figure that ncyt put aside to deal with the issue in dispute - it was quite a chunk over £10 million. this sounded to me more like potential product /part replacement rather than 8 specialist / trainers ?

dr - sure. however would not the senior staff get trained first then not train other staff?
even if ncyt had to train every single member themselves - then surely they would have priced that into the contract? i would have thought the "investment" ncyt would make in training would also profit in the long term because it would make that machine first choice in future?

i am not really into guessing why the dispute has occurred but i would be surprised if it was over training. i can't see ncyt risking a contract worth in excess of £100m on training...

newbie - if the sale price for cd4 is good then could be a jump/spike in sp. though the lack of interest this week does not bode well....would have hoped for a bit of froth...
i wonder if there is any doubt in sale going ahead? or whether other company will use their DD to try and drive a last minute bargain

long term - still huge doubts.
no indication that anything has changed in terms of ability to sell anything to anyone besides assets in a firesale

also dispute with dhsc still overhanging and could wipe out any potential gains from cd4 sale

you need to look at big picture and do your own research...or just climb aboard the choooo chooooo express!

all very well - but ncyt have already said covid revenue is drying up ..faster than they had anticipated.

what we need is clear direction of how they are going to monetise other products in their portfolio. they seem to have a great variety of great tests/assays etc but how are they going to improve marketing and sales?
the base business needs to be increased - otherwise it seems we are just waiting for the next pandemic

personally i am not sure on it being a huge moneymaker - seems to be more of an STD at the moment. though i suppose a mutation could occur.

bh - a merger / deal was probably a wish for quite a few of us on here. tbh at this stage i would be quite happy with someone buying ncyt if the price reflected the dhsc disputed cash.

the fact that bio sold some suggests this is no longer something they are interested in - for whatever reason. in addition they are no interested in buying at these distressed prices - so my guess is they will sell out as soon as the reach a price palatable

I was very disappointed in Aprils presentation and what i perceived as a lack of coherent leadership - so it is very easy for me to believe that is the reason for bio selling.. my gut tells me this is the case. however that could be termed confirmation bias.
the contrarian in me would say that bio are too intelligent to have gone in without doing DD and therefore there must be another reason. maybe they thought ncyt was going to pursue other avenues of tests? and then realised they were actually heading in other directions eg insect thingies

it is doubly disappointing for me because after April's presentation i did feel like selling up at a considerable loss - however it was Bio's interest that kept me in. now would be an even bigger loss

i think the fact that the sp crashed might have done us a favour in terms of keeping bio in for the time being - and maybe they will change their minds..fingers crossed..in the future

Dr...I did not say I agreed that bio were offloading at the moment...I agreed in that I also believe they lost interest. I said that for awhile...even before their latest tr1.

As for posters I don't care if they are 100% positive or negative..i judge on the merits of their argument.

The fact that they were buying ..then stopped..then sold a tranche...suggests to me that my gut feeling of them losing interest was more than likely correct. I know that is not going to be part on here..and I get why

the dhsc believe they have a case...ncyt don't . With seemingly continued use of products and approvals it is hard to see against ncyt case.

Just thinking about the issues of training and delivery that were brought up..can't see it being training as I am sure ncyt would have been happy to oblige ? In order to sell more? Delivery surely would have carried insurance?

Personally I agree with pi100...bio were interested and then around April they weren't anymore . Make your own conclusion. I suspect the only reason they have not sold up is that they would be doing so at a loss.

I suspect they are happy to wait to see if sp goes back to break even. My guess is they were in around 170p ? Be interesting to see what they do when ( fingers crossed ) we go back up there ?

Nothing I wrote was incorrect though .dhsc have an issue with the product hence the claim...a lot of us don't think it is justified. So really not sure what your point is. Wasn't even the point of my original post. I think ncyt should take any large orders they can from dhsc...just make sure the contract is robust and payment guaranteed!

Anyway no matter. Like you I have zero interest....good to hear you are not another kate...and look forward to you not "picking up " on my future posts for no real reason.
