chippy - i suspect the russian people are much more resilient than their western counterparts.
i think the west will start getting itchy for conclusion as we start towards winter - much more than the stubborn ruskies.

the issue is what happens if it ends up on moscow index or chinese or middle east etc. i see HL don't trade in those regions normally.

nope but the placings/fire sale of assets have secured their wages for awhile - which is their primary concern

lots of faith in science behind ncyt...unfortunately many businesses with good products are ruined by poor management.

personally i think we will win gov dispute (fingers crossed) which should give best part of £2-3...should have been more but the market has lost faith.

there is always the possibility of a new "outbreak"..i am not sure on ncyt cashing in on monkey pox ..speed of reaction and extent of market etc

i do agree the ltip seems to have been used to help boost sp by promising jam - but failed - it won't substitute for bad presentations and trading updates

agreed - methinks odx have been too preoccupied with placings (one failed and one successful) and selling off the assets (covid/alva/ cd4)

Dr...individuals have some responsibility. I think perhaps since it is not so deadly there may be a less careful approach ?

byp - i suspect football injuries were considerably reduced during lockdown.

a temporary reduction in risky activity (eg limit of partners) would reduce transmission - i don't know if enough to kill it off?

matt - the problem is that if you put out the begging bowl - eg placing then the market does not see you are generating profits but diluting to keep the lights on.
also the sale of part of the portfolio - which should never have been loss making in the first place
also sends out a bad message.

sentiment is very low in a terrible market...other companies are being valued at less than CAB.

odx will have no excuse if they are not creating profits from ft...they told us of jam and that now they are fully focused on one division.

the gov dispute will certainly cause major problems if they have to pay back. though i suspect the gov would accept some payment schedule.

FinnCrap research is anything but.........they are paid by odx and organise their placings etc. they are there to pump the share. their new target price coincidentally happens to be the bod incentive price....coincidence? or convenient?

the annual report might give a clearer picture...and ft will not be a pretty picture in my guess.

bb - yes some companies have chosen to dump their russian business. just as some will be replaced by chinese and other non "western sympathetic" countries.

when this war is over - there will be money to made. lets see how long big business want to ignore this opportunity.
reminds me how many were talking of payment companies pulling out of p*rnhub this week.....however few talked about how it had been done before
(2020) and then they got back in to bed with them again..

there is always a big hoohaa when these companies sever links - full of woke pr...however they are usually happy to slink back when the fuss has died down and nobody is looking
