in terms of timescale - we will need to know the full picture - but if la mancha / glencore /orion are taking charge and lending more of their own money ...i think we are pretty much sure it will be completed and make money

ordinarily i would agree with you...but we have orion and la mancha. neither want to own the company - by taking it private. they are investing funds. they hold 5-6 years and get out at profit..

they are running the company because they don't want to get shafted by glencore.

to place under nominal value of 20p will need a vote.

I dont think they will get it - if la mancha want to look after the cash they had poured in.

personally i think they should sell the other mine to glencore and use the cash to build this one.

Well that certainly caught a few out.at little rns. the fact that all 3 put money in is great news. orion and la mancha would not put more in if they thought they were going to lose it...

I can't see this going into admin - not with la mancha in control.

the more money they sink in the less they are going to allow it to go into admin....and potentially glencore buying the whole thing cheaply.

As i have said previously i believe they need it to exist on an exchange so they can get out with profit at some stage. glencore and others buying it privately won't suit them.

15% interest rate is fine by me....with no dilution.

they need to build it quick and then they can start paying back.

so the financing package - i think will be a mixture of debt and probably some equity. possibly even allow PI to buy in relation to their holding

but i think dilution will be minimised...how much more can orion and la mancha throw at it? I doubt enough to carve it up in the current proportions of ownership

if the three were going to jump in and shaft PI by taking it private - they could have done it already.

still huge risk - but the fat lady aint singing yet .

i would disagree. glencore want it and could buy it in a heart beat. they would be happy with admin and pick it up dirt cheap wiping PI out and it is a private asset . however they have to contend with the other major shareholders.

la mancha are an investment vehicle - they want to get a profit after 5-6 years of developing an asset.

they need it to stay public. they don't want to have their money trapped and be dependent on glencore..hence why i believe they have taken the reigns of the company. to make sure it isnt taken into admin

in order to carve up the company they would have to sink more money in...if it needs £200m they would need to provide £100m to keep the proportion they hold already - and assuming it is carved up 3 ways.

do they have the appetite for it? or even the cash available.

if they can get most through debt then they get the project finished with minimal outlay - debt to be paid off by profits - and their stake returns to its original amount

they have a much better chance of getting funding than the old bod...especially when they show the cuts they look to be making

all supposition and still hugely risky.

I just believe in being super honest.

the issue is that we can't work out a probability with any sense of accuracy. .your dice example is a definite 83% probability - and therefore not really equivalent to our position.

we can't estimate a probability as we are working blind with very little background information. we are also dependent on a judge decision. though as I have said before my only experience with commercial court - had a really good judge who was sharp honest and fair...and not swayed by the big boys.

whilst i agree that if the decision goes our way then the biggest gains will go to those who took the risk - I think it is wrong to call it a small risk. Especially to those maybe coming on here and new to the company.

it is a risk v reward that i have considered and made my decision but it is without the complete picture still a gamble

i still think that they are looking at interim funding and long term solution in a few months time as a slightly positive sign

i think eventually they will have a mixture of ways to fund the project....and they will look at cost cutting in am major way.

I wonder if they may look at selling assets eg the other mine - which is why they are not releasing the feasibility study

this indicates to me that they are not going to just take the thing private.

La mancha need it on an exchange with shares in public hands so they can eventually sell at profit. i think the comment yesterday about looking after all shareholders might be towards orion.

if they were just going to carve it up between the 3 of them then they could have done that relatively quickly by either admin or a massive placing diluting PI to zero . pumped into the 200m or whatever figure it is to buy the company outright and used the cash to get on with it...no slow down...no pfaffing around

glencore could quite happily own the mine...la mancha and orion are not interested in owning a mine - they are investors. they want their cash out at some stage...

of course i could be completely wrong

Uggy- as the test got CTDA approval - my reckoning is that NCYT have got a good case.

i believe they also had funds ringfenced to address any issues...so i suspect they tried to resolve the issue and keep the contract

it seems to me that the gov maybe got what they considered a better and or cheaper test and decided they would use that rather than continue with NCYT ...however they had already ordered the product under contract.

if i go to sainsburys and buy a turkey and start cooking it - and then pop to m&s and see a better one reduced last minute...I can't say to Sainsburys give me my money back?

unfortunately the gov have to be seen pursuing companies that got fraudulent cash during covid,....with no hope of recompense from foreign companies or offshore stuff...they chase the only ones they can eg small uk companies....the ones they shat on from high during the whole thing.

you may be right - the market is betting on it

but la mancha could be protecting themselves from glencore.

even if they are in cahoots - that is only 40% of total shares.

if orion cant or wont plough more money in - then they are with ordinary PI
