P100 - lets hope covid was a once in a lifetime experience . However it set a precedent that some might want to take an opportunity over. There is no doubt that those who were working on whatever they were in the wuhan lab are not going to suddenly give up. I would not bet against something else coming along. Another one could be an act of war / terrorism / incompetence or even act of nature. Lot of parties made money from it and it accelerated certain changes in society that some might want to take advantage of.

harchris - you make a good point about the possibility of the situation being different in may - unfortunately i can't see it - unless LR takes over.

if ncyt lose case - then it probably will be curtains as they can't turn a profit and have been used to relying on cash they hold.

if they win and suddenly had £100m+ then they would last a few years - frittering the cash away. Prob accelerated by another acquisition. so i think TW has got that wrong .

the uk market being saturated is not good - as you would really expect a good proportion of revenue from your "home turf" and usa does seem too aware of the contention of igg tests and with a culture of litigation.

yes i know we are not completely aligned on the dispute.

I don't think cnsl have a case at all - of course i can easily believe the lawyers will help to prolong the inevitable outcome and bill for hours accordingly. if cnsl can get any kind of deal on paying back (eg half) they will have done very well

tbh cnsl did well to delay the dispute result until they received cash for selling off the most reputable parts of the portfolio..it kept them afloat ...when they were runnning on fumes

helped by the incredibly slow bureaucratic process no doubt.

however if it goes on until the general election...and labour do get in...i honestly can't see any deal. they will go for blood just for publicity of correcting tory misappropriation of public funds.

Company is on track to meet market expectations for the full year.

but maybe read the rns - if it say £1m+ that sugggests under £2m to me.

and that is in the unlikely event they actually win. If you read the actual contract itself then it doesn't look good to me.

The gov are pursuing cnsl for the tax payer money that they took and the gov maintain that they now owe back.

The gov will try to claw back any money they can due to all the COVID PPE scandals. Unfortunately for the smaller UK companies is that they are easy targets compared to the Chinese and Turkish companies etc

Cnsl might think they have a case but when they come up against the best legal team in The country..they will need cold hard facts not belief

Cnsl..say they might get 7 figure comp..which indicates could be a million.

However more likely is that they lose and have to pay back tax payers money..£2.5m

I have made a note of this interesting prediction...very curious on its accuracy at close of play on Friday. I can't see anything to drive SP higher as no real tangible news expected.

The gov dispute looks set to drag on...there won't be any news on £140k of royalties due over next 3 years. My guess is no news on huge contracts from USA.

Also there has never been any positive rns after any of these trade fairs

I think price will drift slightly down this week .

Lse is currently showing 2 trades...so looks like the exuberance this week is over and it was probably a pump and dump.

I suspect the SP will return to the drift down

I agree with much of what atan says - and he knows the financials of this share a lot better than me

1) risk - i still believe that cnsl will have to pay back the tax payers money that the gov maintain they are not entitled to. the sole product line is contentious and advised against use by many professional bodies and scores of top scientists. I do not trust the company to be able to sell significant quantities. they have made a loss for years

2) i have said many times why i stay on here
