yes anybody who bought at 1.6p has made or is in profit ..however anybody buying from £1 down to £0.025 is at a loss.

There is no guarantee that anybody buying today will not lose too

there are are two things - a) the product and b) the company (management and sales team)

if someone wanted the product - and don't forget it is highly contentious - that is one thing.lot of other similar tests available

Would they really want to take the company? a company that is still not making a profit after years? that is why it is valued at no more than cash. the business is currently burning money

the low volume of low level trades means stock is illiquid. No one is paying a premium. the MMs don't keep a lot of stock - they don't want to be exposed.

The issue is that with this company..radio silence doesn't mean lots of going on in the background.

If I were LR - I would be angling for the CEO job and then if I got it - invest. Firstly he might not have any faith in NCYT management..secondly it would be a good move to bolster the SP if he did get promotion

I am not convinced we are in a closed period regarding to gov dispute.

They have had long enough to have informal talks...it has gone past that ..it is either going to court ..in which case they prob won't be talking that much to each other.

Or all of a sudden the gov will have an internal meeting and say we can't win ..let's make an offer.

Market makers decide the spread. It is one of their tools for manipulating trade action to suit them .

Eg one of the theories is that if there is a large spread it will deter buyers as they will be immediately down by 10%

The danger with this management seems to be that having a war chest of cash enables them to fritter it away.

I wish they would acquire something else because if we lose and have to pay back..then it will have to be on the never never..and at least they would have something to show for COVID

Good point on director buys...the last I remember was when bio were building a stake ...but they seemed to abandon any plans they might have had with every salad update

It is disappointing that the directors don't buy as it would certainly support the SP..but they seem as uninterested in sh value as they are in the future of the company

The company has not turned a profit since at least 2017 I believe. Cash has been provided by placing and selling off the most exciting stuff in the portfolio. Also taking money from the gov which they now want back.

At the moment it is burning it's cash.

The company needs to improve sales as the market no longer seems convinced by the vagueness in the updates

to answer your question - yes i think there is too much cash burn...especially considering what they seem to achieve. either i was very wrong in my appraisal of the potential of the original NCYT portfolio or they are seriously underachieving. in terms of management - direction - strategy - sales - communication - playing the AIM game etcetc

i still think they will come out with a good result in the gov dispute-and we are looking at potentially £2-3 - though i am worried that the decline in sp might start to affect the ultimate price we get. I will then be out.

I don't think you will see your £6 with this management. I think LR would be a better choice of leader temporarily - just from a quick fix to the SP..but the worry is that long term would he bankrupt another company.

Well the court dates are this summer.

I still think there is a very good chance of a deal - but closer the date....a game of chicken.

They may have used up more - companies inevitably use more rather than less..but I happy to believe them at this stage.

The worry is always that they will have to pay the gov the money back. Having to pay £2.5m back would leave the company in a precarious position unless they can start making a profit.

The rns have provided somewhat vague statements on future progress with nothing tangible to show if/ when the company will be able to make a profit
