From what I've seen so far, I don't think it's been a failure; he's sold off £700m like he said and ****hopefully**** we see a big reduction in debt and an improving balance sheet. If we don't see a big reduction in debt and returning proifitability this year, I would ****then**** agree, that it's been a failure and I'd bail out.

Sms1: FYI. I love earning 'quick bucks', but in my experience, it's nearly impossible to achieve. It's an illusion. The energy sector (oil/gas) has provided some decent trades over the past month, but hardly a 'quick buck'.

I think CPI's turn will come. I don't know of any other stocks that move so violently as CPI. I'll be waiting for results.

OK. We got the message! You're after a 'quick buck'... Which stocks have given a 'quick buck' lately? Which good traders/investors can you mention that make a 'quick buck'?

The analyst target is: 213.83p (57% above spot); consensus of 7. 1 Hold, 4 Buy, 2 Strong Buy.

Regarding the divi. The Final divi used to be 11.25p and Interim was 5.6p. Those were the figures for the past 5y or so. Lately, it's been Final: 2p and Interim: 4p. That's a big reduction in divi.

I'll be happy if the estimated 2021 net profit is £105m, but the last update wasn't encouraging.

UOG vs I3E / yesterday

I guess the market doesn't agree with you...

I3E production is very stable at around 20k boepd. They were *previously* unprofitable after chasing a wildcat for many years and finally coming to their senses and buying a stable field in Canada for pennies during the covid lows, while they develop the wildcat.

I expect UOG to be profitable this year because of the oil price, but they have to start being open with investors and stop the ramping, which puts people off. People want facts, not blather. People want to know exactly what happened to cause the guidance to be so low.

I guess you'll say I'm a 'share basher'. Actualy, I'm a UOG investor, not that impressed with what I'm seeing. Not prepared to invest any more money until I see some more facts.

@Mary - I was spouting the same figures as you a few months ago... Just as enthusiastically.

The problem with TCAP is that they consume most of the profit on staff while margins are wafer thin. They have to pay people like bankers, but they don't have the same business model. I think they'll be OK in the long-term ? maybe, with Liquidnet and some crypto added into th emix, but the technicals are terrible - and continuing, so I trimmed and will add back when there's a visible bottom. If results are underwhelming, I expect the share price to be hammered very badly. If they're great, it's such a dusty, unloved stock, there's plenty of time to dive in.

Banks are awarding record bonuses this year and I expect TCAP to follow, irrespective of how much that costs shareholders.

@Firehorse: I think I once read something from Warren Buffett along the lines of: "there are three ways to go broke: ladies, liquor and leverage..."

Your scheme might work many times, until it goes horribly wrong. e.g. what would happen if the stock gapped down 50% on the open? That sometimes happens to AIM oil stocks. I wouldn't want to think about the consequences when using leverage.

Something weird here; I trimmed my position by 3/4 today. Happy to load up again when it bounces.

Good luck. I exited all my positions here. There's too much manipulation of the share price. It's continual and very obvious. I don't know why they'd continue to hammer this share, but it is what it is. The FCA doesn't seem capable to stop it and they aren't leaving.

The manipulation here is the worst I've ever seen. Direct, persistent manipulation by recycling of short positions and spoofing to wreck the share price, trigger stop-losses and to rob people of their investments. Totally criminal, with nobody competent person to stop it.

I just noticed that Stockopedia gave a very detailed writeup on RNG, with the 'investment club' opting to buy the shares. I expect that's going to bring in more investors, given the size of the Stocko user base.

I'm incredibly positive about RMG, except for the presence of the share-wrecking vampires in the shorts list. Having been victim of those companies several times, I'm reluctant to add any more myself until I see them willingly depart or get crushed by long interest.

This is amongst all of the other interesting/impressive points.

Where has all the money gone from the $22m finance? The impression was that, that was enough to get to profitability. This is a total joke to be doing continual raises. Everybody here knows it, but the ones giving a positive spin are trying to get out themselves and make new suckers, the bag-holders. It's been nothgn but raises since this management appeared. Utter fiasco.

I've never seen any company do so many placings; even after supposedly getting debt financing. The sooner I offload this the better.

It's understandable that some of these US stocks are falling; e.g. Paypal ****tripled**** after the covid crash. It's still above that covid low, even after falling another 26% today!!!!!!!!!

But NETW ****never recovered**** from covid, but it's falling nevertheless!!!!!!!

It's difficult to understand.

When the US rises, we stay still
When the US falls, we crash.

The only stocks of mine that are not performing terribly and energy (oil/gas) and financials. Everything else sucks. I'm ONLY buying oil/gas now. TED seems to be in freefall like a lot of other stuff. I have no idea where the bottom is.
