The way is view this situation is simple.
1. II is the second biggest player in the UK behind HL; they hold about 20% of the entire UK market
2. The UK retail broker market is very competitive and Robinhood recently entered the UK market, along with others
3. ABDN is worth £3.66B, while Robinhood is worth £70B
4. ABDN is not far above its historic lows pe:15), i.e. is a steal, compared to shares like Robinhood (pe: 65)
I wonder if these facts have been realised by some of the foreign brokers; it's a simple way to get access to a large chunk of he UK market, due to the ridiculously cheap pricing of UK assets.
