Crikey. You don't pull any punches! From memory, you have a big wad of these shares...

What we need are 'mechanical' buyers, who buy it simply to track BTC, without wanting to fall in love with PW, etc.

The new Invesco fund is one of those. They're live and we should start to see some order flow increases 'some time in the future'. Fingers crossed. Touch Wood and all that.

But I'm not convinced that the spread is justified. It's currently possible to offload £50k chunks of ARB at a single price.

I wonder where the support is? Could it fall to 700p?

Have a read of that book and/or look at the video. You might be surprised. Those things happened. It continues to happen. There are lots of variations. People don't tend to talk about the mechanics for obvious reasons, but it is widespread. I have no idea if it's happening here, but just showing you that it's easy to do.

Grab yourself a copy of 'Flash Crash' by Liam Vaughan. It explains how a guy in Hounslow, West London manipulated the S&P500, (allegedly) causing the 'flash crash' of 2010. The guy in that book was a regular participant on the futures boards.

There's also a nice video of how the stock exchanges have allowed and some would say 'promoted' this type of behaviour. Basically, they added functionality into the Direct Market Access API, so that orders could be modified in various ways before somebody acts on it. They did that to make it easier for the HFT companies to make more money and put more volume through the exchange, thereby making the exchange itself more money.

Bottom-line. For people with Direct Market Access and the motivation, it's easy to move the price of any stock on any market. Even 1 guy can move the entire S&P500...........

That guy was released early, once he helped the FBI understand how the market actually works. Nothing ever happened in the UK; the HFT companies wield too much power. Mum's the Word!

EXACTLY. Lots of people bought this at barely over $10 last year and sold at $5 6m later........................................ That's a more attractive strategy than looking at the Wall Street Fear chart and panic-selling at a loss. Similarly, I would not sell my car, just because somebody offers me 1/2 of what it's worth....

It's very painful - yes. CPI has a long record of inflicting pain like that... I agree that we'll probably need a stronger market sentiment now to lift it. I added another big chunk last week. Oh well. I don't see any problem though. I'll just hang on for a while as it's going to bounce back at some stage.

@Kallumam: Have a listen to what Peter Lynch says about buying 'Kaiser Industries' at $26 and watching it drop to $3. FYI: he made money on that investment. That's not to say that it's always going to happen that way, but I'm perfectly happy owning ASOS shares.

Anybody buying ASOS, should look at the trading range over the past year and see that it was down to ~£10 last year and rose back to ~£60. It's a volatile share.

Because they can... you don't 'have' to sell... You seem to have this flawed idea that people always sell at the end of that cycle. It is true that a lot of people do, but not everbody does. I have the cash on the sideline to add significantly more ASOS if it drops further and I always enter a trade with that in mind.

We'll start to see the bitcoin-tracking funds buying ARB soon. e.g. the Invesco Alerian Galaxy Crypto Economy ETF (SATO).

ARB is ~3% of that fund. It only just launched, but it's reasonable to expect it to grow to $billions; Invesco has $1.5t under management.

In my opinion, that fund alone could lift the ARB share price.

There are several similar funds about to go live.

That's just my opinion. It might be totally wrong. Do your own research...

I'm not recommending anything, nor asking you to consider them. I don't care if you or anybody on this board or elsewhere buys other copper stocks, nor do I have any interest... I just mentioned some alternatives in the hope they could be useful.

Some people like the risk of a stock like RMM - that's great and I wish you the best of luck as I'm also an investor here...albeit in small size compared to my other copper holdings. Personally, I'm not a big fan of large holdings being 50+% down, so I allocate position size inversely to risk.

I see that not a single person has even been able to comment on my comments on the employment costs...hmm.

Ultimately, the current problem with RMM is financial, it's not of a metallurgical nature. I don't think many here realise that...

FYI: I feel much better when most on the channel are panicking and selling and disagreeing with me, because you cannot do what the crowd is doing and outperform the market. Anybody that does what the crowd does will at best, achieve the index average return, but most likely, they will underperform. That's a fact.... I'll plan to at least double my position when I see a bottom. Perhaps I'll triple it.

For a solid share like this, selling out at a large loss and then gambling to be able to buy back lower is a losing strategy. I've never heard Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch or any other successful investor say that - because it's daft and doesn't work...

- The company is still highly profitable
- The upside is more than 100%, based on 24 broker estimates
- Most companies in the country have the supply-chain problems; they're just kitchen-sinking it all now

I disappointed at the stuppidity of the market. But I'm not at all concerned. I have a decent chunk, but will look to double my holding at some point.

I added another £20k worth of ARB today. I don't understand why ARB has dropped today and why it's seemingly decoupled from the BTC price, but I believe that it's going to be temporary. Ultimately, the value of the company has increased, just due to the increased value of the HODL.

I'll wait as long as it takes for the price to turn and do not plan on selling even 1 share at a loss, even if the price was to drop another 20+ %. I would instead, look to add more.

There are live BTC-tracking funds that have ARB in it. In particular,, the 'Invesco Alerian Galaxy Crypto Economy ETF (SATO)' which is 3% ARB. SATO has risen today and as it grows, the fund managers will purchase ARB in proportion to the size of the fund. Even if that fund is a tiny fraction of the Grayscale trust, it could be huge for ARB. If the French ever get their act together, they'll be doing the same.

OK, now I feel bad, because my HIVE and DIGIHOST prices are from Friday, becaue it's a public holiday in Toronto... So, yes, it's just ARB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
