On a good quality share like this, it is a *fact* that doubling-down produces higher investment returns that cutting your losses.

This is a very solid company. They have plenty of cash. The disruptions are temporar and are being felt by all retailers. I'm starting a new tranche and will double-down my big position once I see a bottom. I've done this literally thousands of times and have absolute confidence in the approach. It's true that few people know how to 'double-down', because they have this 'buy-the-dip' mentality drilled into them, which is not the same.

The lwoer this goes, the more confident I will be in my purchase and might even triple my position.

I have a large'ish position here, but it's definitely Billy-no-friends at the moment.

Yeah, I'm in BTC and the BTC miners. I finally realised that they are no more risky than CEY......

Ultimately, all miners are like a call option on the underlying commodity and if that commodity drops, it gets nasty. I keep telling myself that gold is about to have its day, but the market does not agree and I am concerned that a lot of big investors have moved to BTC. e.g. even George Soros holds it and the trading volume is gargantuan.

At least CEY pays a decent divi.

The fundamentals have really improved here, with Stocko now having two (long) screens (Growth Investing & Value Investing). The fundamentals are beginning to look quite decent:

Admittedly, the Quality ranking could be higher, but this is a Turnaround after all.

The broker target is about 20% above the current price, but I can see that being material increased in the near future. I'm itching to deploy more capital here, but am trying to understand the selling pressure first.

I don't see much downside from this level. With plenty of liquidity and oil holding at a nice level, this looks very attractive to me. They're likely to be making very good money.

Hmm. Are you talking about CEY? I don't see any doubling.

I like to tell myself that it's 'dropping less' and the gold *might* be about to shine, but it's a bit early for me to start increasing my position.

That said, the bears are winning here at the moment and I'm standing back, because it's looking like they're going to try and drive this back down to ~2200p.

Negative risk sentiment has hit Nasdaq and European markets. That's going to dampen things a bit even if BTC does pump.

Are you a comedian? Very happy to put £50k into CPI once the pressure drops. I have about £25k in it currently.

I suspect some here have north of £100k in CPI, but that is indeed too much risk concentration for me.

Hang-on and look to add at the appropriate time. I'm not geared, nor am I a day-trader, so I have that luxury.

Though it 'looks' like BTC is getting strength like on Wednesday, for whatever that meaningless statement means...

I'd only sell at a loss if shi t had hit more than half the fans of our mining machines.

The damn annoying thing is that it's not just ARB. WTF is going on with miners? If not for the tax advantages of the shares in an ISA/SIPP which double your effective returns, it wouldn't *currently* make sense to be in the miners. BTC/ETH is where the action is.

My strategy is similar to others here, which is to sell higher than I bought and to grow my account... I do not believe in holding for the sake of it, no.

Looks like a textbook bounce off the pullback. Cannot get my head around what is going on with the miners.

I've become paranoid about exactly the same thing. The UK market really is a piece of shi*e. The volatility this morning is amazing. Somebody is playing games and making money here at the expense of the PI.

Energy looking attractive as a sector now.

It's tempting to think this is lifting from a double-bottom (as a bullish chart pattern, not an ar*ehole...)

This is an incredible turnaround. Quite amazing.

There's plenty of steam, just not in the direction that's advantageous to a long position... The only explanations that I can think of are:

(1) A fund selling-down
OR
(2) Manipulation by hedgies
