@G_G_G: "...China... recession... Copper is a commodity that won't fare well in this scenario. AIMHO"
I think copper demand is going to be strong in the medium-long term, but it's anybody's guess what will happen if China slows down. My guess is that the copper demand wil crater. That's why I won't be adding significantly to my RMM holding just because funding comes through. I'd need to see serious progress on the mine plan first.
I'm going to get hammered for saying it, because people here don't want to hear it, but I wonder if RMM could be profitable just with the ore sorter, if copper was to fall back to $3 for a year or two. I suspect they'd need an onsite mill to weather that storm. Low copper prices were the reason for several copper mines being shut in Canada over the past few years and no copper mines that I know of are well regarded by the market at the moment. Not trying to de-ramp, despite the stooges here claiming that, but getting funding to survive is not something that's that amazing to me. Every other copper producer that I've invested in is debt-free, making lots of cash, very cheap and have state-of-the-art, onsite mills...
I'm not going to check back here for a week or so, so any insults will land on deaf ears!
