I've been in and out of CPI since early last year, but without any doubt, the fundamentals are now the best they've been. On the other hand, you need to be careful if you dislike being red, because this stock has a huge beta of ~6.9. That means that in the absence of any news, it's going to rise/fall with the FTSE, but with *much* larger moves.

With some luck, the sentiment won't deteriorate too much and we'll get some good news. If not, then I guess we'll be buying some more cheap shares...

I take my hat off to you. That's along time to wait. I'll give them until the end of the year to secure the funding for Dundas. I'd be looking to redeploy my capital elsewhere if there's no news by then.

Don't worry. A big BTC pullback is bound to come soon...it could be a nice entry point. It's mostly the muppets buying now.

The fees depend on your trading volume in the past 30 days and the types of orders you place. Like most of the exchanges, Limit Orders are cheaper than Market Orders ('maker' vs 'taker'). I use the trading screen within Kraken, which they call 'Kraken Pro'. Here are the fees:

Some people here have the misguided idea that just holding a share for a long time makes you a good investor. On that basis, shops should keep bananas for as long as possible before selling them...

On the same matter, I occasionally get called a de-ramper here by some of the village idiots who FOMO into this stock while its flying up, without any plan whatsoever, only to sell it and whinge once it drops. I'm only a mediocre trader, but I've banked close to £10k profit this week and will continue using research and a 'strategy', rather than blind hope.

I'll let you in on a secret. It's something to do with crypto being fantastic to trade... While there are some real muppets here, sellign as soon as things drop, some of us are actually research and buying low/selling high...

It looks to me like a fund is offloading. I'm hanging in here, but won't be buying while that's happening.

It's the 6'th blue day! Volume is still poor, but the momentum is (slightly) better.

I doubt that Chuz is a paid de-ramper. I think he's realistic that BTC could pullback and if that happens, that ARB will drop sharply. Anybody with a decent sized holding would be concerned about that. I have a decent sized crypto allocation (>£100k) and am concerned about it, but I continue to hold for the moment.

From what I see, some 'similar' white diamonds from Petra sold for ~$30k / carat, giving an indicative price of at least $10m from this find. It looks to me like that will provide a significant uplift to their results. Hopefully, my figures are totally undervaluing these diamonds and that it's closer to $15m as you say.

@Micky. I do medium-term (weeks/months) trading and have been consistently profitable for several years and have done literally thousands of trades.... My broker commissions are small and irrelevant. My CGT is almost zero as 95% of my capital is inside ISAs/SIPPs. When I trade crypto coins, I'm paying 0.12% in commission, which is also irrelevant, though there's CGT in that case.

In my opinion, day trading 'can' be highly profitable, but in ~95% of cases, it's not. I agree with you there.

FYI. I don't think that day traders are the ones causing problems here. If anything, they are the ones adding the liquidity.

In essence, gold is leaving gold ETFs and entering bitcoin.

Hopefully, we'll see new money entering gold soon, but it concerns me that as interest rates tick higher, the opportunity for gold will be gone and the gold miners will fall sharply in response to that.
