After the interim results had no information on current trading, i posted that at best i expected an underwhelming /poor trading update in Oct.

The lack of information on current trading was a real mistake. IMO

However , thinking about it a little more.

Lord Allan and S Whitehead bought on the 15th of Sept and the 29th of Sept respectively. I would say that they must know what current trading looks like at the time of this purchases.

The update is only a few weeks away from their purchases.

The Lord spending around 500k and SW around 2 million.

Would you buy that amount of shares if trading was poor?

So, the board is full of posters that are down considerably on their investment , including me.

We have a huge amount of posts about the incompetence of MM , how he is personally responsible for the loss of value and he should not be running this company.

But all these posters with the vitriol that they post are depending upon him, that is MM, to somehow rescue them, but he is in their opinion totally out of his depth and has displayed sheer incompetence and will never make a difference.

And they say all of this knowing he has a golden share, and owns 16% of the company and will be in charge for some considerable time.

It beggars belief, I think he is short of the mark with corporate governance , but i also think that he knows much better than me and other posters what the future holds.

It stuns me that people despise the leader and thinks he cannot ever do anything right, and continue to hold shares in the company that he leads.

Sell and save the rest of your money if you are in this camp

Me I think otherwise and hold and indeed will buy more because i think he will do OK.

OK i will tell you why.

About 20 years ago a very good friends son at the age of 13/14 was diagnosed with Body Dysmorphia, he together with his parents went through a carefully controlled process , that established that he fully understood what he was experiencing and that he wasn’t questioning his sexuality as is common in teenagers of his age.

He was prescribed the appropriate drugs , and eventually went through gender re-assignment surgery and now lives a very happy life with her partner.

Fantastic- now the difficulty i have is that this does not happen to children today, compared to then it is a very shortened processs with little support , they can be treated with very strong drugs without parents being involved or even informed. See the Tavistock clinic and what has happened there. Look up the recent court case on it if you like.

Now Stonewall leads the the battle for the rights of Trans People, no issues from me on that , its the tactics, look what has happened to say Sharron Davies who opposes what happening in women swimming - Particularly around Lia Thomas or JK Rowling and there are many of academics that have been forced out of their roles. because they oppose what stonewall is doing.

Which of course is Self ID, which allows mainly men to go anywhere they want, say they are a woman and they register and sign in as a woman. It happens in swimming pools, leisure centres , hospitals , sex offenders say they are trans and get sent to women prisons...and so it goes on. All of this is not sanctioned by law. Stonewall has got arms of government to carry out their ideas without challenge. Mainly to the detriment of women.

As to Mermaids its a children's charity , that sends out chest binders to young girls without any consent from parents and look up what happened last week or so around a male trustee of the charity who has been in post for 9 years.

Self ID is corrosive to children and women.

I will leave you with the thought that under the influence of Stonewall, hospitals give leaflets to young men that says when you undergo gender re-assignment survey you will have a clitorus as an outcome, they won't they will have a stump of a ***** that may or may not have extensive problems with urination and infection for the rest of their life.

And finally - I read far more extensively than the daily mail and facebook, but i do wonder about some other posters on here.

On power- we have the LNG terminals 3, Europe doesn’t have any.

During the summer we have been exporting massive amounts of gas to Europe that is why their storage is 90% full.

In normal times they would return energy to us during the winter as they used Russian gas and we would benefit from the storage capacity in Europe

Our last storage centre was closed down in the last couple of years as it was extremely uneconomic. However Russias invasion means all change

We are trying desperately to get the storage capacity back on line but it takes time.

Europe and the UK have cooperated very well on this matter apart from the French threats over fishing for years and years

The EU recently changed their Energy taxonomy that we in the UK adhered to as well
That taxonomy put gas and nuclear at the bottom of the list , so in France there has been no investment in the nuclear power capability for years, resulting in more that 50% of their Nuclear power stations being off line.

The EU changed their taxonomy about 6/9 months ago at the request of France , so Nuclear and gas power is no longer being penalised by the EU, and Eu countries can again invest in Gas and nuclear power.

It's a complex world out there and the Russian invasion has made it very fragile.

It is not his fault it was floated at the top of an insane market, but he wasn’t daft enough to turn the offer down, he seems to be doing the best he can , doubling revenue since the float for example.

The SP is where it is and it is mainly about the market and some of his actions haven't helped.
