A bit of controversy about my post, in reply to that
1. When looking at his CV when he joined, there is gap when he left his long term position and joined a Potash miner, he tried his best to raise cash but it went bankrupt, and he was then without a role for a while.
2. He then joined GGP his first role as a CEO, coming from a finance background he was a nervous at first and IMO was seemingly having to get used to having the final say, even although his hands were tied by the fact that GGP only had a smaller share of the Havarion pie.
As have said I am completely taken with his transformation since he joined and some of the designs taken have been fanstastic.
If people think I am foolish, perhaps they thought he joined GGP in is present mode, but I think he as grown into the role very significantly and I can only commend the board who appointed him, as top people IE seasoned CEO's would not have considered the role at the time.
He and the company have transformed over the last 18 moths and he has grown significantly in his entire time at GGP.
The prior planning to the takeover has been extraordinary, I have not seen change like this in my entire investing time, and just to say my best ever decision prior to investing here was buying Microsoft when it was 39 dollars and paying a 5% dividend.
For balance my worst ever decision was having an IFA who put my pension into fixed interest funds in 2007 rather than cash as I instructed him, I lost over 50% of my funds, I then took it off him and since that time I have done it myself. with varying degrees of success.
But I am very happy here as a significant part of my portfolio.
GL to all that is enough from me!!
