On Brokers, they don't like to be the tall tree, so Librium were always very bullish and kept being the tall tree , until they went straight to 40/50p , the words they used were something like this. we got this completely wrong and THG should be valued on FCF.

They then updated that to say , if they do sort out governance and other issues (that i can"t recall accurately) well SOP will come back into focus, they then went to 220 on the day Apollo was announced.

IMO any interested brokers will move towards 220 quoted by Librum, and as they move towards 2.20 Lib will want to be the tall tree and go higher , they used to be extremely bullish, a good set of numbers at the next update and IMO they will be well over 3.00.

Then the rest of the herd will follow.

Brokers despite wanting to be stand out don't like to be very far away from the median when quoting targets.

They haven't put their own number on the SOTP that they come up with , they are using ( incorrectly ) the brokers 2.20 thats what they are quoting .

I thought it was a poor note from a company that has all its eggs in the basket, but they don't have any staff to do a decent job of course.

Liberum, the independent broker, continues to re-emphasise its 225p target value, over two times the current share price, but it is also encouraging to see other analysts increasingly refer in their research to higher potential price targets centred around the sum of the parts valuation.

Well i took my own advice, if you are unsure about the management don't invest / sell, after their note today i sold my holding and bought THG with the proceeds..its not a fortune but i can't see the more than 20% value add that will be needed from their contribution over just investing directly in THG.

So Its done..and i am happier for it.

@ Yorek..if they knew that about Sainsbury they should have put both bits in their note, that would have made the note much richer..

IMO Its fair to say the only thing in Kelso’s update that I haven't read on here is the reference to debt.

It shows that the sum of the contributions on here is just short of equal to the note from Kelso, and IMO, there is a richer amount of Information on here, they could have pointed to the recent NEDS great experience in THG markets , and that experience can be utilised in helping shape strategy and build relationships, rather than just focusing on corporate governance.

I am not that impressed by Kelso TBF even though i hold some.

I have been thinking about it , and i think it is mega news, it reads to me that Iceland has waived their 5 year exclusive on ice cream and that has big implications given Yoreks great information earlier, this is the bit of the post.

We launch in Iceland today, before expanding to other major U.K. grocers and internationally later this year. In September, we are also launching a range of protein rich ice cream bars as healthier alternatives to the Mars-style products.’

So we could be seeing Ice cream in one or more of the big chains, the factory must be on overtime getting stock prepared for this launch and when it does that will be big news in the grocery world i am sure.

IMO the issue isn’t that it has risen to far to fast, it is why did the SP fall so far so fast after Apollo were turned away...

There is no rational explanation for that as they must have been discussing in excess of 2 pounds a share..

IMO the buyers will be people like the Balderton boys who in their personal accounts have bought almost 4% of the company, at prices around 50 to 70.

Then JG at 77p.5 along with SF at 72P

This IMO will not have major retrace from here..

Ice cream is a very valuable market, if THG healthy food get traction in the bigger chains, the MY protein will no longer be ex-growth..

Shorts don’t lose out in a couple of days / weeks in fact if they get out fast they don't lose much at all , they lose billions when they hold positions over months and even years. Look up Tesla the longest short that cost billions.
