I’ve said time and time again. Never let a good crisis go to waste. I think it’s premature to say the worm has turned. But 2 point of optimism. Xi has basically told the Russians to rein it in ref nukes. So less likely to see the end of the world.

Unlocking of China I think is disguised response to growing dissent in China. Xi knows he now needs to get the economy going and to get the local economy going he needs the global economy going. Could that mean he has given pootin till the spring to wrap it up…….

For what seems like forever we have had more bad days than good. Sooner or later, we will start to have more good days than bad.

The trouble with waiting for the bottom is you're more likely to buy it at a higher price on the bounce.

For example......

Share price has fallen to a £1 but you want/think it will hit 80p so you wait and wait. It hits 90 so you hope it will hit your target price. It then rises to 95p but it's a dead cat bounce so you hang on. it settles back to 92 so you're on track back towards your 80p wish to buy in and so it goes for several weeks and months and meanwhile you might torture yourself and other people with pointless arguments with strangers and the turn comes and before you know it......its well over a pound.

Rather than have a set price keep drip feeding buying any large dips. You can then either sell some or all trading or keep long term.

One thing is for sure when/if this is over £2 no one will care if you bought at 91p or 95p.

Where 20p?? I was hoping to get more at that price.

It’s why it’s pointless debating with some on any BB. When there wrong suddenly they have far more interesting things to do.

Across all markets I’m expecting volatility some stocks that volatility will be sideways many in an uptrend but with volatility.

I’m hoping this month we have hit the bottom after a year of declines world wide.

I predict volatility though In a more upward trend for travel stocks. Rather than downwards.

Lloyds: These tarrot cards helped me sell IAG at 135, buy at 103ish - Sell at 111 (missed the ride to 125) but again bought at 104 and sold it at 112.5, bought again at 94.89 and sold it at 102. And in between gains in shorts too. The only loss during this time was yesterday when I had to close my shorts with 1.2ish point loss.

Very impressive. I don't frequent boards much. So not followed your predictions. Care to let the board know the next time you open a position up or down? That would be interesting. All too often on boards its retrospective talk such as these you get the yeah I bought at the bottom and sold at the top etc etc

The point is it’s reacting along with the market. So it’s not seen as a dead dog. If it were it wouldn’t jump up 8%.

I still don’t expect anything too exciting till spring 2023. Though the bottom may have come and gone.

Tons of money being investor money on the sidelines.

A different world. But when it hit the lows of circa 28p after their first profit warning around 2014 ish after a couple of quarters it romped back up well over a £1 in quick order.

Positives - it’s a bigger business now.
A well trodden path with it being a very well known stock.

Exactly. Aremgeddon has been priced in since back end of covid. The war has kept it surpressed along with bi products of the conflict.

USA been in a bear market since June. Come spring people will be picking up bargains for the recovery. I really hope Europe weans itself of Russian gas by then and things could really lookup. That’s without Putin getting one in the forehead or removed.

I’m long but I don’t see a significant move up till macros or at least sentiment changes and the smart money that’s mostly on the sidelines move in. Spring 2023 onwards.

I could probably find a dozen stocks that have bags of recovery potential where directors haven’t bought yet.

I don’t think the smart money will start heading into the UK markets till 2023.

Right now all depends if you’re a short term trader which I usually am. Though with stocks that have a long term future.

Or buying to cash in in 2-3 years time. If you’re the latter makes little difference if you buy in at 36p or 33p.

If you’re short term then yeah10% on a few grand ain’t a bad weeks work.
