Agree to an extent. I do tend to enjoy "releasing" profits regularly over long term holds. In fact my long term holds are short term trades that I got wrong. And trust me I get my fair share wrong. As trading is not my full time occupation I dont lose money as I hold till I am back in profit and if I only trade in companies that are likely to always come good even if it takes a couple of years it works.

The people who claim to get every trade correct to the penny make me laugh. Its just not possible.

This heat wave will have worked wonders for retail. Along with the fact that we are in the first fully open summer since 2019.

I think it is a classic case of the best cure for high prices is high prices. I destination that I travel to on a weekly basis used to take 2 Hours and 15 mins. Lately I have shaved an hour off that setting off at exactly the same time.

One report in the Sunday Times stated a garage that would usually need 30,000 litres every ten days now is only getting rid of 18,000 litres every 20 days.

I would like to have seen more noise about shifting to wind/solar etc kicks putin in the nuts and keeps our economy going more cleanly.

I am hoping it stays at these levels for another couple of weeks so I can top up.

I think this company is yet to be appreciated by the holiday market.

Out of Stansted the only option I have for a decent trip away as in location options is JET 2.

Just came back from another JET 2 holiday to Sorrento and the only thing I could fault is that Hold my Hand song.

Comfortable enough flight for short haul, good value, even the drinks on the plane were reasonable.

All staff were excellent and naturally friendly.

Just bought another load at 7.94.

Next results will be another sack of monkeys all together.

Exactly. BOO itself hit a low of 23p back in 2015. A few years later was over £4.

You could argue youngsters who don’t pay a mortgage, drive a car or pay for the food shop are more resilient. It’s why ASOS held up and grew through the credit crunch.

Been in Boo since day one. Got in at 80p........we then hit scary low not that long after to as low as 23p. On the back of missing estimates. I was never a ramper with BOO even though I have pretty much traded in and out done well. Even during its hay day I was wary at buy at anything over £3. People called me everything under the sun when it seemed nothing could stop BOO when I said be cautious as it was frothy and priced for perfection.

Never in a million years did I thing it woulddrop below a pound let alone IPO price. I am invested substantially with an average of around £1.40. Am I nervous? Well I'm not happy. Am I confident it will come back. Yes. Look around you every retails stock is in the pits or way off year highs. Every sector is practically. Those that are not maybe priced for perfection. See what I did there?

Imagine buying at 23p when it them lows. Even if you sold now you would be more than doubling your money. Now just imagine that the BOD know what they are doing and able to return to a growing business? And looking back in 2024?

If you dont want to continously hold for that long it could be a nice trade in and out journey again. If you dont think that can happen use your time wisely and invest elsewhere.

I would like to add Never let a good crisis go to waste. Financially great buying opportunities, not just talking about BOO here. The way some people on here talk its as if BOO is the only stock that is as low as whale do do. On a deeper level, when I make an error on the markets, usually timing related, I find it humbling. I am only investing with what does not impact my day to day living. I have time to wait for disposable income when the profits start rolling in again.

Just been speaking to my mum who is travelling around the Far East, selection of airlines, Emirates, Singapore Airlines.

Every flight has been full, airports are busy and resorts are busy. Im sure IAG will get there share. I am happy to top up at depressed levels. In 2 years people will be looking at this price/period and saying imagine buying back then. Others would have bought.

If returns are an industry wide problem. Which they are if its free, the companies involved will get together and set an industry standard which is affordable, fair and sustainable. When this will happen, who knows.

Trust me they talk to each other.

I have modest expectations for tomorrow.

Expecting earnings in line with expectations or slightly more.
Would really like to see an improvement on returns.

Being a long term holder I hope your right. If they are not or if the market under reacts/sells off I plan to buy more.

This is nearly as low as the IPO price of 55p and BOO is practically a household name now compared to then with a proven route. Hopefully this will exercise muscle memory once all the temporary issues/worries sort themselves out.

My beef with you in the past was your blind ignorance ramping this to be a 100 bagger. Did you not? And that was when it was sat at £3.00 ish. You ignored or blocked anyone with a rational argument to head wins and was convinced that everyone would spend money at boo regardless. You seemed to take great joy when high street shops folded with job losses as it boost boo.

Your mistakes on the stock market can be forgiven. Your mindless ramping and was nauseating and I am less willing to forget and I didn't even follow your advice.

I wouldn't put much value on pp1. He was ramping this to be £10 only last year or so. Telling everyone to hold for 30 years plus and not to sell. He wont see this as he used to admit to blocking anyone with a counter argument or anything against boo. He disappeared for sometime naturally when things headed south. And now back being the expert cut and paste merchant.

There are dozens of stocks out there at multi year lows. If the entire history of the stock market is anything to go by many of these will recover. And a lot of people will be thinking imagine buying at those lows.

I am usually a short term investor, long term when I fudge up. Whilst markets are this low I am buying, be it BOO or elsewhere. Sadly I can or rather only willing to top up surplus from my monthly wage. If I had total balls of steel I would be raiding my premium bonds which holds money next car and next couple of holidays money, but I don't like my investments to impact my day to day living.

I was going to top up in IAG however opened a new position here.

A great travel play in recession. If people are looking to scale down holidays, here's a great option for affordable.
