There have been some significant developments in the theatre. I am wondering if the wider markets are reacting to the war being no longer tenable for the Kremlin.

Ukraine is regaining ground that took the Russians months to capture. What is also important is that Ukraine is now demonstrating the ability to conduct offensives which challenges the opinion that the war would forever be a stalemate.

As a military Russia is weaker than it was on February the 23rd and Ukraine only seems stronger and better equipped. If this war ends soon, I'd expect a whopping rally.

Hopefully the £1.99 per item has at least reduced the number of people ordering 10 items and returning 9 of them.

Looking forward to results. If they are in line and returns have reduced it will give me confidence to keep adding on SP weakness. 1-2 years time this will be back near £3.

If putin's forces continue to rout and therefore embarress the Kremlin further we may see regime change and huge change of sentiment.

Returns remain (I have a long term view) my only concern with BOO and online retail in general. Bit concerning to see ASOS hadnt seen a notable reduction in returns after imposing the modest charge of £1.99.

I sited this concern some 18 months ago to much backlash from people who are no longer active on this board.

I am heavily invested here at number of price points.

"Boohoo clothing is cheap and people shop at cheap places when confidence about money is low. So by its self low consumer confidence not that bad right. Its the inflation which is the key thing as it determines if profitable margins can be achieved and we all know inflation is not ideal.

Yep, those that shopped at Ted Baker, Superdry, Hackett or many of the retail shops that sadly are no longer treading may now spend more at BOO. Those that flew Virgin Holidays may now fly budget. But people will still buy clothes and travel.

It looks highly likely that energy bills will be capped so in effect taking much of the inflation of the table.

Every right to do so.

Short positions be what they may. It don’t mean they are right. How many will be late to the party? Yeah they might squeeze a few more pence, and it could be sometime before stocks do recover……

I’m sticking to the basic practice of if you buy on a spike there is a decent chance it’s going to pull back. Shorting when it’s already lower than whale do do is risky.

If BOO figures for the summer are good and if there is a working solution to deal with high energy and employment remains high……it’s going to change sentiment and sentiment move markets.

You say BOO enjoyed a few days of gains but couldn’t breach 70p.

Maybe over simplistic of me if we are talking about the same period the whole market was rallying and since pulled back.

ASOS last time I looked was sub £7 anyone predict that 2 years ago?

BOO has like many companies it’s reasons for not being at all time highs right now. But it’s also reacting like many if not most stocks out there in a market driven by fear.

In time it will react in a greed driven market. I’m buying stocks I’m not going to say any of my stocks will be back to all time highs in 2 years time as I believe it hinges on what happens on this planet in this period. And if the last 2 and half years has taught me it’s almost impossible to predict that.

Agree like to see this verified with more reliable int. Though I doubt the media are trying to distract us from rising living costs. Fear is how they sell news.

Great news. I am surprised we didn't see a greater shift upwards in the SP yesterday pre-empting the news. But hopefully we will today.

Not bad advice . And for those that don't own this "POS" stock they could log off save their electric and spend the time they can never get back doing something more fun.

Those that don't own but like to see holders in pain or like to see people suffering could always mix it and laugh at the lines at the food banks?

Ditto. Now and for the next few months there will be great opportunities to build positions. Be it here or in just about every other stock that has the strength to see through a tough year.

I’m an optimist and believe in peoples resilience. People will struggle through inflation, once it subsides as cleaner energy comes on board disposable income will return. And that will find its way into the economy.

Well just like on a SP spike how many of these shorts will be proven late to the party.

I just wouldn’t be brave enough to short right now at these levels. Not saying it’s bottomed out but it’s below IPO now.

I’ve just spoke to my Mrs who deals with all that faff.

We are locked in till 2023. I expect many are and many are not. The fact is it’s never as bad as the media make out.

Don’t forget a lot of cash still in people’s accounts due to Covid. Not to be smug and I am grateful everyday but financially covid was good to us. We built up cash reserves and most of which I will be putting back into the economy.

Plenty work out there. Maybe Brexit came at a good time as if we had that excess labour force from overseas we would be in for a deeper recession.

Ukraine - Big counter offensive on the cards. Could be dangerous short term putting poo Tin in a corner….on the other hand could be start of the beginning through a coup.

I also don’t like to let a crisis go to waste. I’m buying stocks. Here and elsewhere. I will thank myself on the way back up.

Agreed. It’s not a bounce rally. Looks more like a recovery. Ticking up a couple of % a week is fine with me.

Sounded very bullish. Load factors in H1 avg 75% but last two weeks low 90s.

July/Aug largely booked up.

I did say when this was in the low 50s that it was practically at IPO price. And to not let a crisis go to waste. Seek long term opportunity amongst short term problems.
