I have stopped caring what the SP does for the rest of the year. People will still buy clothes and enjoy themselves. Enough to keep most companies afloat until the boom times return. I don't expect to make any additional money till 2024, maybe 2nd half of 2023.

To me makes no odds, I have a secure job. A tiny mortgage, my 2nd holiday this year is in less than a fortnight. I can keep up with all social engagements. My next car is paid for and to be honest any money I make on stocks is 100% disposable. I am not saying this to be smug but rather a middle finger to those that seem to seek joy because a stranger timed the market wrong.

I am sure we had our rating outlook cut in the past post credit crunch. It's something we can regain.

Oil has come well of its highs. And could further decline if recession truly kicks in. Consumer staples, same could happen for the same reason.

Whatever they are invested in. Once I have sold out of a stock or not interested in, I move on. My time is too precious, but not for these curious wonders.

If BOO was at these levels while every other retailer was at multi-year highs on the back of insatiable demand in a booming economy, then I would be worried.

I would love to know where these people that are still de-ramping this stock (Out of the literally hundreds they could de-ramp based on the last 7 months broad market decline) where they are investing? I am sure I asked but no convincing answer.

BOO is not going to fully recover till the wider economic outlook recovers.

Practically every stock is way off its highs. Why would BOO be any different?

I’m long BOO. I’m long the market. Save any other world wide event I see recovery back end 2023. SP might start to price that in mid 23. Till then it will poodle along and people will argue the toss over it till then and whoever is wrong will suddenly disappear of the board.

Well said. The bickering is pathetic, embarrassing and frankly a waste of life.

Most people are seeking balanced view points or even a challenge to their own assessment.

When I look at the people on here and how often they post just to argue with a stranger I wonder why they’re investing in the first place? As you don’t need that much money to have access to the internet to ***** all day.

I would imagine there will be more interest for overseas travel to the UK.

1) Weak pound against many currencies.
2) VAT free shopping.
3) HRH funeral has the happy bi product of advertising our great capital.

My intentions

1) Trickle feed stock purchases every month till sentiment changes. Here and elsewhere.
2) Only check the price once a day.
3) Limit my time on message boards to pre-covid levels. Covid gave me way too much time.
4) Remind myself this isn't end of the financial world scenario that I have lived through and wouldn't it have been nice to have taken advantage of every past recession, credit crunch and even profit warnings.

If we have results in line with expectations.
Strong signs of sustainability through tough periods.
A slow down or reduction in inflation. Mini budget should help.
An end to the war.
Energy security and thus gas prices decreasing.

We could see this back above £3 in the next 18 months.

The above won’t happen all at once but over time and many are intertwined.

Just made me realize that lazy teenage boy's is a market yet to mature. He can't be arsed walking around the high street. And less likely to return stuff as men's size seem more universal and simply would rather make it work than be arsed posting back.

If employment remains high I think the economy will fare better than we thought.

Our bills are locked in for a year. I had my pay rise in April. NI boost in July and potentially a income tax cut soon too.

Granted food and other staples of gone up but we just trimming the treats. For me travel and having a good time is top of my list. There will be a lot of people where having a good time and looking good with affordable fashion will still hold sway.

And when next year things settle and more money will be in people’s pockets many stocks will benefit.

Let’s hope it prices upwards in anticipation in the coming months.
