Well we don't know quite what stage POINT had got to and it will take a certain amount of time for Lilly to assess exactly what it is they've bought (technologies, pipeline, facilities, staff, etc.) and what they're going to use and what they're going to dispose of. Getting to the end of that by now I should imagine.

As we know, six months is not a lot of time in drug development. A licensing deal with Novartis for FAP-activated radiopharmaceutical prodrugs would certainly liven this sector up!

Well it just goes to prove it can be done - with the right message and the right PR outfit.

Quite does have a more positive, full meaning in American English that it usually does over here. However, over here one might still say that it is quite correct to point out the difference - meaning very definitely correct, not maybe somewhat correct.

Americans do use a lot of olde English, even terms that we've gotten used to again over here.

Why were you surprised? I neither knew before nor now care about Immunocore. What has Immunocore got to do with Avacta, even if two who used to be there and now at Avacta? Nothing has changed. I don't see why AXA Framlington Biotech holding Immunocore should be of any relevance.

Were we misled by AS's comments? There are several US law firms that live by sueing companies that they claim have misled investors. AS was just too slack mouthed.

This could be the biggest clue there is that Avacta is going for a Nasdaq listing and why AS HAD to go. Start saying things like AS did when the company is listed on Nasdaq and the vulture law firms will be feasting on the carcass as investors sign up to sue for misleading information causing material financial loss.

No, it's not "31/8/23 Avacta holding 2,336,248 ", it's "Avacta holding 2,336,248 at the end of the reporting period, namely 29/02/24."

Did you understand my previous post? If not, go back and reread it and you will see that I am exactly correct and we now have the definitive figure. As of 31 May 2024, AXA held precisely 4.373m Avacta shares.

@Bella, I see the £1.168m worth of shares purchased in the six months to 29 February 2024 but I don't see anything about Avacta in the 31 August 2023 report. Where do you see a 2.3m shares at that time?

I was going from the Fidelity website listing that someone had posted. From memory, it was the end of March (but may have been February) 2024 that AXA went from 0 to a holding of some 2m+ shares.

There was no change by the end of April (I had looked) but they purchased 2.036752m more by the end of May. A quick calculation: £1.168m (rounded) worth at 50p is 2.336m shares (rounded, and quite possibly the 2.3m you saw somewhere), plus the 2.036752m shares added in May = 4.372752m which is the same as the rounded 4.373m showing on that Fidelity website.

So AXA (a French company) did purchase shares during the placing and the good news is that they almost doubled their holding last month

AXA Framlington first appeared in the 31 March listing, meaning as a result of the placing.
