@Rorydinho, you assume there will be no more cash coming in. There could be both under Avacta's control (sale of Dx/cost controls) and beyond Avacta's control (licence fees/new deals). If there isn't more cash coming in and the trials are delayed beyond the time when convincing pivotal clinical results are proven then yes, delays WOULD be a major problem but the real major problem would be Avacta's financial incompetence. Speaking of which, when's that useless CFO going to get the push?

It was one of a number of comments 7 months ago on LinkedIn about the announcement that Avacta would present positive new data at the International Conference on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics in Boston:

Evidence is growing that their proprietary therapeutic platform is doing exactly what it is supposed to do - enabling the targeted delivery of higher doses of various chemotherapies across a range of different tumour types. They are reporting very impressive tolerability in patients in the ongoing trials. Now we need to see the impact of the higher doses translated into enhanced efficacy… at scale (building on the encouraging early signals). Not rocket science (… that bit has been done already)! ;-)"

Not quite semantics notrex. "He's absolutely correct" is a statement of fact; "I believe his assessment of the situation is correct" is an opinion on an opinion. Yes, semantics are important, as is reality.

Many, many folks have had enough of being buggered about and regularly shafted by AVCT over these past years and would be happy to get their money back and a small profit on top would be a Brucie bonus. Firstly, to say MM is absolutely correct is very poor logic. Just leave it at being in agreement with his opinion because that's all any of this is, opinions.

Secondly, whilst I did once harbour dreams of £5, £10+ a share and reinvesting the proceeds in an income fund that would provide a very comfortable monthly income for life, I too now would be more than happy with £3 a share. A much higher buy out price would of course be very much welcomed (and I wouldn't immediately agree to a lowball offer, as I stupidly did with POINT Biopharma) but there are a lot of other very good biotech opportunities around to reinvest in. I can afford to wait a while, but age and poor health catches up with everyone and time is the most important resource everyone has.

So I've written to Christina Coughlin, asking whether there has been a change in reporting policy for the Phase 1 trial. I'll pass on what she says if and when I get a response.

(Note: a delay in the trial is not a disaster given the solid base of the Q3W arm, only a problen in that it may set back the rest of the clinical development.)

Or a Novis logo, depending on which of the two wins the bidding war.

I'd get excited about Arm2 C1 completing but then my threshold for excitment here is pretty low.

As I understand it, Avacta will need more funds before April next year. Not a vast amount but enough to extend the cash runway through to April 2026. Well, either more cash or make economies.
