Looks like they've formalised (i.e. are paying for) the dedicated oncology expertise at the main clinical trial sites - quite a team! It strikes me that this is to define/agree the parameters of the pre|CISION platform - what cancers, how to identify susceptible cancers, how to intervene/choice of warheads, what dosing regimen, etc., etc. - as all this is information that the commercial team will need to be on top of in their deal negotiations with big pharma and when splitting the platform opportunities between BP companies by warhead, indication and territory. All very positive and clearly CC thinks the cost of the SAB will be paid back in spades.

The big side-effects problem of ADCs is due to them falling apart and releasing the toxin BEFORE they reach their antibody-targetted tumour receptor because the linker between antibody and toxin is weak and so is cleaved easily within the body by enzymes or just change in pH (e.g. acid environment). pre|CISION solves that problem for FAP rich tumours, and probably would have at least some efficacy against low FAP tumours due to the extreme toxicity of the warheads.
