Agreed SirL. I have seen many deals/ transactions where a new lawyer is appointed for each one. So a minor issue and would not stop a takeover deal.

JIM Noms will still just be PIs topping up or investing for the first time, so not very exciting in my view. I have an account with them myself (via Sharedeal active) so I will have shares under JIM Noms (although not AMC).

None of this matters to AMC right now of course, but "LME-registered warehouses are at their lowest since 2019 at 77,784 tonnes, with 52% of that booked for delivery". Sounds like the supply squeeze is continuing (not sure if the Russian sanctions have an immediate impact), so a higher Nickel price.

If the war is resolved, for everyone's sake, then as a bi-product AMC could be very well placed for a higher offer. Feels like a bet and not an investment, but perhaps that's no change anyway!

Personally I quite like reading the argy bargy comments, but have my own set approach and target for these shares (although have still been open to listen to the “sensible” posters over the last 12 years).

part 2! Jaytem - a "firm" offer can be trumped in this way, and there isn't automatic suspension, even when an offer goes unconditional.

Jaytem - the AMC share price may well go above the current indicated / potential offer price - normally in anticipation of a higher offer (by the same bidder or by others). I am not saying this will happen but is possible in this case.

Seeing2030 - if you think they are worthless then I’ll take them off you hands. Don’t try and scaremonger.

PS I have taken this action on another company (oil). Interestingly a director did the same thing so I’m in good company.

Tax - it does seem slightly unusual to just sell the subsidiary when there’s not a lot left behind thereafter. Could be linked to being a BVI company. I’m no tax expert but CGT would normally be payable - however there is no such tax in the BVI! So my guess would be that no tax would be payable.

They wouldn’t be worthless- you would be a minority share holder and probably with no market to trade the shares on. There is then a rule whereby a company can enforce the purchase of these share holdings.

But put simply, if most PIs declined the offer then we would be back in the pre-offer position ie short term SP would drop back but long term potential (whatever you think that is) would remain

I fear they will get enough votes, but candidly I will vote against any proposed takeover @ 7p. It's a 20p/£250m target for me. Just hoping that the current indicative offer does stir others into action, but Ukraine situation does not help.

It has been worth it......... for RY. He's been paid all this time, and seems to have very little skin in the game.

Remember - almost all AMC hopes & promises have led to absolutely nothing. So expecting the same and a share price retrace to below 3p. Then hoping it becomes something big by 2025.

1) I think it unlikely that any company outside of Russia would look to make a bid in the coming weeks - political pressure and genuine risk of war! So limited number of potential bidders / no bidding war2) some shareholders, certainly not me, will have acquired their stakes at sub-5p, and therefore any offer of 7p+ WOULD be appealing/be supported.So I am hoping that we are NOT made an offer currently, as I think this would be on the cheap. Alternatively an offer of 100p (per share!) is fine by me.

Nice try!! AMC have no immediate need for funding - unless there's something they haven't told us (and that would never happen, would it Robin).

In 9 months I've made more from a geared Nickel ETF investment (OK, bet) than I'd ever hope to gain from AMC now (and after waiting for more than a decade). I also get regular updates on the ETF as promised.

However, I'm still gonna hold on to my AMC shares, as I still believe that they will come good this year, but it's the hope that's killing me.

Unless we have an imminent message from the Gods, delivered by a blimp from the sky, then this is yet another year of disappointment. Sadly, after 10 years plus, this is also no longer a surprise.Happy New Year everybody.
