Just waiting for the new coins announcement this week

The idea that bitcoin has value because of the mining to create it is complete nonsense. Effort/time/expense does not = value. The mining provides control over the release of new bitcoins which supports its value as a finite comodity rather than just numbers on a screen. Bitcoin can be used as an mode of exchange and is readily convertible to other currencies and used by criminals to facilitate money laundering and cross boarder payments, so it has tangible value, but no value in an of itself without this exchange. Its own level of value is determined by traders. The level of value relates to belief and the fact that traders believe there is money to be made in buying/selling bitcoin which creates the value.
So ultimately if governments around the world cracked down like China did its value would dissapear.

Looks to me like BTC is about to drop off a cliff. $10k incoming 2023? Obviously no one knows but BTC ultimately is just driven by risk speculation, it has yet become the safe haven many believed it would. Risk appetite is very low at the moment, other headwinds including China. BTC wont turn until after the economies and markets turn, I dont see it decoupling, just lagging. Unless a number of notables start giving BTC a lot of social media attention I dont see any reason for this to stage a massive recover any time soon.
Caveat - I know nothing about BTC and am not invested here, just sharing my thoughts. Would certainly like to get in here at some point and I think it should survive the current downturn, most likely BTC wont drop below current levels.

Note the possible takeover of Finncap Group, shows there still interest in the sector for M&A.

Are the concert party putting together an offer? Will that bring other interested parties out of the woodwork?

Probably why the SP was worked down to that level, now its been worked the SP can be let go, free to move upwards now.

I dont think so, I got in before this nonsense all started. The new coins are coming, the chart looks good for a move up, share price very near its natural low. 5p will see up break out of the downward trend that can be plotted all the way back to 23p at the beginning of the year. Hopefully this can get back to the old volumes and recover some of the excitement if potential begins to be realized. Those watching but not in are very concerned about missing the turnaround here,

My hope here is that the share price rises enough that we can raise at reasonable level to clear the CLN. New coins news between now and the end of the year should provide some good stimulus but something else needed in the way of deals to see 10p+.

Someone turned the taps on the buy side today. The seller is still there buy buying increasing. Could see the remaining shorts closing and sharp recovery. Looking for +10% tomorrow.

Well I sold at 115p a couple of days later... trying to catch the bottom is not easy for one that has fallen this far and relentlessly but as I say looks like we may be there or there abouts. If it moves sideways for few days and doesnt look good i would probably get out again. I'm looking for a rerate above the 110p level before the close on Wednesday to convince me to stay in for the longer haul.

What's your strategy?

I think in the 80s this will have some good value. I think the current price below RI price reflects a seller that wants out more than anything else. Serious issues here but oversold possibly. Shorts will always move their 'reasonable' target down as the price falls but the big players are closing their shorts as the downside opportunity much less vs potential recovery. Could easily go back to mid 100s IMO. Think I will be getting in tomorrow.

any investors that dont understand the terms of the oil swaps - which is a financial instrument - and that the higher the oil price the more COPL lose really shouldn't be invested here. COPL needs to be producing at much higher than the hedge for the loss on the swap to mitigate the increased revenues on production above the hedge amount.

think we will see the mid 80s today/this week at which point I think I will jump in.

I want to be in this for the recovery in SP i think is coming but I'm worried it will drop off a cliff once £1 is broken. Going to wait for something in the low 90s and hope I dont miss it.

Wow! 13% cash for 45% of the company. What a bargain they got there. Should be 50% down after that RNS

Have to say now I can see the actual mcap this may have a ways to fall. The automated selling is relentless and until that stops it wont have a chance of turning.
