The company reported an increased cash position but only a £200k profit before tax, so either break even or making a small loss. Is that right?

You only need to look at the 6 month chart to see where this is going. No news for a month means share price drift for a company like Vast.

This gives me some hope that an indicative offer will translate into a firm offer. Then we might get a few interested parties making a bid.

A small outfit would need to do a lot of work to make Eve, as it is, profitable. A larger outfit could just do away with the majority of the administrative expenses, if the mattresses were sold as part of an offer with existing bed sales they most of the advertising cost would like wise go. Then you have a small profitable addon.

Come on, its not manipulation is it? A small company with very low trade volumes just had another 2 million shares added to the pile, with more to come. Its not rocket science.

AR averaging down as we thought, not huge sums at this stage but with the lack of selling/buying today even a few consistent buys could push this higher fairly quickly. Slim chance of an offer mega RNS before October. Valued at next to nothing now so 1p buyout is feasible for the brand.

Do you think that PIs would have provided £17, in funding? Of course it goes to those that are willing and can afford it. Of course it goes to someone close enough to see the value and willing to only pay a small discount on the share price which has risen significantly of late. MS and RS are keen to increase their stake, but they have to pay for it and they are still taking on the risk of a near term 50% drill. Its not like they are 'stealing the company out from under PIs'. I suspect they have invested with Selene funding being covered in mind, but there is still a sizable risk that Pensacola fails, if that happens 3.5p will look like a good deal for the rest of us, at least until Selene interest then picks up in 12 months.If they are getting such a good deal you now have the option of buying as much as you like for only 6% more than they paid for it. I assume you wont be adding any more money hence they went to those that can, rather than those that cant/wont.

Guys, these conspiracy theories.... pretty standard for a company to raise funds and go to the largest shareholders. Pretty unusual for the PIs to get ANY look-in at all so should be happy about the open offer IMO.
Cash raised for a 70%+ COS drill WITH SHELL 50%. Need to look up the definition of a 'lifestlye company' this aint cluff anymore, major gas drills farmed out, any of which would be company transforming. They arn't shots in the dark. Drilling with a super major, proven hydrocarbons, near production facilities, 90% development costs paid for, serious value retained. SO many waiting to get in here want the price as low as possible. This has held up really well since cash raise, now its a clear runway to value creation. Once this starts moving, which it will soon, it should be a nice ride.

It’s certainly no coincidence that we’ve raised cash prior to the licensing round when we could have left it until post Pensacola. I think we will be going in big on this and it will be interesting to see if some of the bigger players also show more interest than usual due to the rebate on o&g investment exciting times! Pensacola might open up a whole new oil horizon and we are on the front line.

In confused, it’s fairly typical for an Aim share to do a placing and for the largest shareholders to take up most of the allocation. The price wasn’t a huge discount. Placing with large share holders rather than PIs also means the shares are in more sticky hands. Probably just 1 in 20 have any kind of PI participation. I would agree that we could have put off the placing until post Pensacola but that would have been risky and perhaps irresponsible.

I’m happy with the way the price has held up since the fund raising. I expect buying to be muted now until mid October with all open offer shares reducing the level of tops by those that are already in the know. Announcement of spud date and spud should bring new ones investors who will be glad of the additional funding already completed. We will need the buys to wash out any early selling of open offer and planing shares, though I think most will hold onto them, I know I will. My plan is still to not sell any until post Selene, the cash, farm outs and licensing round should give us some momentum for the next 12 months if pen doesn’t hit.
